    LIOGIER rasps......etc......

This from the Berlin Fine Tools website. As an addition to its traditional range, Liogier has developed the Sapphire range to further improve the performance of its rasps. These rasps are incredibly hard and according to Liogierr keep their cutting power four times as long as traditional rasps...

    Granite surface plate/flattening/where to buy?

It seems to me that it is all a matter of individual preference. I'm not sure telling someone new to the hobby that flatness or sharpness or waterstones aren't necessary is very useful. Surely they need to be offered the full picture and be left to choose for themselves. Could this be achieved...

    Mid-power plunge router advice

I had the elu routers for 30 years. When the smaller 96 gave up I went for a makita but the difference in quality was vast. I sold the Makita. If you can afford the Festool, which I now have, the 1010 and the 1400, they are extremely good, especialy when it comes to dust extraction.

You Tube vids - Actually making something, like furniture

I haven't been watching them for very long but I do find videos about techniques, using or making a shooting board, or dovetails, very useful. I'm self taught, mainly from Finewoodworking, and I have always used machines and jigs. The videos have inspired me to start using handtools more. It...

    aluminium welding advice request

Will the SIF 555 be a lot better than the many Aluminium soldering kits you find online? I bought Durafix but had little success.

    M2 Screw? What bit please?

In my experience it is always more economical to buy from Amazon.jp. The English version is not 100% but still navigable. Delivery is quick to Italy, about 4 days and taxes are prepaid. Vessel are a common brand on Amazon.jp.

M6x100 T bolts for T rack, anyone seen any?

I ordered some of the 75mm from Axminster as they were the closest I had found, the powertec are £41 a pack which I thought was a bit excessive. The trouble with Bangood is I'm not sure of comaparbility. I did think of buying some threaded plates and stud but will they fit the track I have?

I'm kind of running around chasing my tail at the moment having just returned after 3 weeks of looking after my elderly parents who despite being housebound still managed to get Covid. I have not had a chance to look or think about it too much. I'm not even sure what they would cost new at the...

Withdrawn 18" unused Incra steel mitre bar/slider

I recently purchased an Incra 1000 mitre gauge. I have a Startrite saw and the mitre slot is only 1/4" deep, so I knew I would have to make myself a new bar/slider. This is the steel 18" fully adjustable slider removed from the mitre gauge. New and unused. Library picture and actual item in...

I've been intending to sell this for some time as I haven't used it in years, but shipping/postage from Italy is both expensive and rarely a quality service. It is in very good condition, very slight, barely visible marks to the sole, I think the handles were both as new and the blade probably...

M6x100 T bolts for T rack, anyone seen any?

Those look like they might work, thanks. I just found some 1/4"x20 x 3.5" on amazon, £41 for 20.

M6x100 T bolts for T rack, anyone seen any?

They slide in a slot so they still need heads. I made the mistake of making the jig using the 1/4"x20 incra bolts I have, but they are are only 2" long and not tall enough for the Incra hold down. I didn't think it would be this difficult. The jig is made of phenolic faced birch ply which I have...

M6x100 T bolts for T rack, anyone seen any?

The nearest Leroy is in Savona, about an hour away and I really wanted to try and find "proper" t track bolts with the shallow elongated head as they will be used in an inverted T slot cut into 15mm birch ply rather than an aluminium t track. There simply isn't the depth for a coach bolt.

M6x100 T bolts for T rack, anyone seen any?

My biggest problem is my remoteness, almost everything is bought online. I did find the screws below but the head is a couple of mm too narrow and I couldn't get the length. My nearest decent hardware store is in Alba which is an hour away.

M6x100 T bolts for T rack, anyone seen any?

I'm looking for M6 T bolts for T track 100mm long with a knob like in the picture. 1/4" would be OK too and I wouldn't need the knob. I can find 8mm at that length but they are for use with Incra hold-downs and they would be too big to pass through the hole. I've lost count of the hours I've...
