Hi all ,i'm making a headboard for my bed out of oak and would like to try wax as a finnish once i have sanded all the wood do i just apply wax or do i need to seal the wood with something first. tnx Jim

I know you said you checked the gas but are you sure they are still in date seemingly the small gas cylinders have a best by date [unlike the frame nailer they can sit forever and still work] i only know this because it caught me out this way . Jim

Dont want to rub anyone up the wrong way but i beg to differ about advice on re-tipping or sharpening of saw blades,my profile says ambulance driver but i am a time served joiner with 17 years in the trade, and the firms that i have worked with All have their saw blades re-tipped and sharpened...

You have my sympathy with your dogs my neighbour has the same problem with his one ,i on the other hand have 2 black labs that are trained to the gun so they are in their element ,they must think its like going shooting with me a lot of bangs but nothing to pick up :oops:
