Abit more info would help; Are you trimming the veener to the edge or trying to router out for an inlay?

Do you mean when trimming the veener, with a flush trimming bit? I normaly go round anti-clockwise around the outside edge..

I havn't done much venner work but when I have I've just used PVA glue and its done the job :D
