    Keith you should cut rebates with a router or hand plane not on the table saw :!: You should only think about cutting rebates on a table saw if you have a guard mounted on a beam (like you do) and a riving knife that can be lowered to the same height as the blade.

    Feather fre cuts on mitre saw

    Another vote for a Freud crosscutting blade. I have one for my mitre saw and every cut is silky smooth :)

    I've also been thinking about what material to use to line the walls of my new workshop. I would like to use a real wood but I think that would be too expensive (haven't priced it up yet) my second thought was plasterboard but if I use that I can't easily screw into it anywhere to hang something...
