    Another update

I can’t believe it’s been nearly 3 weeks since I moved house. I must apologize for not being on the forums much but the downgrade from broadband to dialup hasn’t gone very well and having only one phone line (due to the exchange being at it’s limit) doesn’t help either so I’m only getting a...

    thicknesser

Hi Mark, As the others say I would stay well clear off it. I'm afraid in the woodworking world buying cheap machines nearly always costs you more in the long run. A thicknesser is a tool that once you have you'll use for every project so it's worth buying the best you can afford. Two of the...

    News (Gloat warning)

Thanks everyone, we're hoping the move goes fine as well. We had a bad start with the 'usual' - the money didn't go through on time the day we completed (three hours late) but it gave us a good chance to try out the local pub :) When say 'up north' I mean Lincolnshire about 7miles from...

    News (Gloat warning)

Just to let you all know that I may not be around the forums as much for the next month or so. There are two reasons. The first is we are moving house on Monday to live 'up north' and there's no broadband in the area so we're back to slow dialup  the second is that I'm moving into my new...

Dakota 16 gauger nail gun kit

Hi Waka, I bought the old Dakota 18g kit the other week just when the sale started (when the newer versions came out) and I'm very impressed with it. Although haven't used it much yet as soon as I got it I started to pack the workshop up but it'll be getting alot of use in the new house.

    table saw gaurds

Hi Rog, Welcome to the forums :) I recommend that you should always use the guard, especially on a table saw. Either the supplied guard and riving knife or a wall mounted one like waterhead suggested. I don't understand why so many americans don't, maybe they are all norm fans :? Before...

    Storing of router bits.

Hi Alan, After using my router bits I normally give them a quick clean with the CMT spray cleaner then store them in my homemade router bit box - https://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/projects/routerbox.php
