Plenty of the wet stuff up here too. The cherry has fruitlets already so I think will be OK. Too soon to see whether the apple and pear blossom will also bear fruit. Rhubarb on the other hand is going mad..

It is not only eggs that are sold in imperial measurements over here. Wheels and tyres (or tires) for cars and bicycles are still sold in inches, worldwide.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned these.
Adapted from one of BB's ideas.
Not necessary to use bench dogs and pups can be just as easily clamped to the bench or table
This is a sled that I knocked up a couple of weeks ago. Although pictured without it, the riving knife does fit through slot in the far end. No guard as such but the lump of timber attached front to back will, I hope, stop anything being flung back towards me.
Basic design copied from Mark...
I'm always left wondering, after seeing the AFDs from Veritas, how many they would actually sell if they made them available. I am sure there would be takers.
My LA smoother by the way still lives in the cardboard Veritainer as supplied, although it does now get it's own sock as well.

Having read EC's excellent biography a while ago, it's a wonder he ever made it to 50, let alone 67...another belated happy birthday wish! - Rob

I stopped sending documents in Word as soon as I my first Mac. It is far to easy for a recipient to amend, deliberately or accidentally a Word type file even if it has been password protected. A PDF file, IMO is far more secure.
Andy
Excuse me if you already now this. You can create a PDF on a mac without the need for any additional software. From the Print Pop Up Window select PDF (bottom left corner) and then save as PDF.

I spent weeks thinking about and it took me about 2 mins to realise my mistake.

If it is not too late I would recommend putting a socket or two in the floor. In my 3m x 3m workshop I have to have everything on wheels and pull them out into the centre of the workshop, being able to plug them into the floor saves having to trail leads across the floor.

rob, you are right. I am not sure I understand the reasons. It could be that there is not the demand ie people here are less interested in creative hobbies or that it is too expensive (overheads) for businesses to supply tools and equipment at price to generate a demand.
There is a different...
Rob, if you get a moment on the day perhaps you could ask someone at Axminster if they have any plans to expand into Europe?
I've yet to find a retailer online, or otherwise, that offers the range at the price with the customer support that we all appreciate with Axminster. Having said that...
