    Incra, Kreg precision mitre guides??

I have both the Osborne mitre gauge and the Incra HD mitre gauge (only just received the iIcra and haven't assembled it yet). The bars of these jigs as you are no doubt aware are designed for the larger and more standard 3/4" x 3/8" mitre slots. This said, from looking at the two jigs I have it...

    black walnut availability

Doctor bob - I've just had a look at your website, very impressive work. I thought my kitchen was turning out nicely but it seems I have a ways to go to match yours. I think I'll have another look. Steve - Now that you mention the three tone, I'm wondering if that will actually look awful...

    black walnut availability

Bob - on the point of colour scheme, I think that may be the right approach. I spent Sunday afternoon cutting in paintwork on a section of wall to let SWMBO see how it would tie in with the new wall and floor tiles. And I hate painting. After buying 11 pots (£55 just on the pots) of tester...

Thanks fellahs, as a novice with the particular timber it may be easier and more economical to buy PAR, al beit being a more difficult to swallow at first when shelling out the hard earned. Much appreciated. David

    black walnut availability

Thanks for all the assistance fellahs, it could be a challenge to make sure I get the right timber, much to ponder, Is there a great deal of difference in the rough sawn and par boards? I have the kit to machine it, no probs there but as mentioned for a one off job would the difference in price...

    black walnut availability

Not sure what you mean on that one, Defect free, but not what I want? Are there specific questions I need to ask the supplier, beyond telling him what the timber is to be used for is there anything else I should ensure?? I guess you can tell I've never bout ABW before :?:

    black walnut availability

Tom - Thanks for your response, I am actually thinking of going the shaker style route. I was going to use birch ply for the panels as it matches the current cabinets to a tee. So light panel with the dark walnut frame (wifes choice). Perhaps someone nearer will identify a local supplier of...

    Kitchen worktop brackets

Morning folks - I have been looking for nickel plated angle brackets to support the underside of the new breakfast bar in the kitchen. I was hoping to use brackets rather than have to use a pole to support the over hang (about 300mm). Does any one know of a suitable supplier of angle brackets...

Morning all, The wife has asked if I could build some kitchen cabinet doors to match the new walnut wooden worktops. Having never bought walnut before, is it readily available here in the UK and if so are there recommended suppliers. Many thanks. David

    scribing to fit conundrum

Morning fellahs - As part of the kitchen refit I have built a breakfast bar and intend to use a single large wood veneer panel matching the cabinets to cover the back of the kitchen base units. The units protrude 90 degrees from the wall and measure 72" long. I have fitted the wooden worktops...
