A good day in the shop

I cleared a space in my shop today and as our daughter and her family came over, so I pressed SIL into helping with the new lathe, so it is now in the shop. \:D/ I had to have a go with it and having watched Bobhams videos I tried the cup and ball toy, well Bob you have nothing to worry...

I never know what to get my mum for mothers day, but this year it was quite easy. :) I had taken a bit of African tulip wood round that I turned in to a light pull, just to see what it worked like and mum commented that she liked it, so....... I made her a pen and pencil set. I also made...

    Bench - vice vs length!!!

Simon, I have a tail vice and I have wonder pups and dogs. :D They are both very useful and I think with care the pups could be used for most bench top requirements. The thing you lose is holding a board vertically, but if you have a face vice that should not be a problem.

    Pressure washer advice

Now to wash a car you need the rotary brush head, just using a jet will not get the car very clean. :x When I wash my car, (it needs doing) I spray the alloy wheels with a cleaning solution and then wet the car with the low pressure lance. Then fill the detergent bottle and use the rotary...
