    You where lucky! I bought some kits via ebay from him, total value AUS $40, I had to pay £2.98 VAT, along with an £8 handling fee from the Royal Mail. #-o Good kits, but I am not sure I will order from Aus again. :-k

    Hi, f you want to practise turning on the mandrel, you need to drill a hole that matches the diameter of the mandrel, not the brass tube. You can buy a pen dissembler that will allow you to get the thing apart again, its on my list of things to buy. I sand my pens with 120, 180, 240, 360, 600...

    Wheels for heavy machines.

    I have moved lots of heavy and large stuff on sets of these, the only thing you need is a smooth floor. They are very small wheels so don't like lumps or holes in the surface.

    Nev, The problem you will have with any new motor will be the size of the shaft, the old motor will only have a 1/2" or 5/8" and a new motor will be 19mm at least. I had this with my motor swap and had the pulley bored out. There are some good ones on ebay at the moment.

    Depends on the type of ceramic, I used some, many years ago in thick film hybrid prototyping that you had to warm before you could solder a joint on as it conducted heat so well the iron went cold as you applied it. :shock: Am I correct in thinking these blocks are used to hold the cast iron...

    Baby stair gates

    We lived in a bungalow when Joe was small, I got a stair gate to keep him in his bedroom, when required. Seemed like a good idea. I had to do the pressure pads up so tight that the then SWMBO could not undo them, any looser and Joe just undid the gate and moved it out of the way. :roll: He did...
