    shelf pins

Really bent yes, however I've never seen one like that. It's not like you have to file the surface to 1 thou tolerance ;-)

    shelf pins

Shelves would not rock due to a pin not being flat, rather because all 4 are not in one plane.

    shelf pins

You're saying that you can push a plywood or laminated board into one of your wooden dowels? Doubt that. Even metal ones would be a pain. Also if you move the shelves and they not perfect they won't bed into the indents. You also can't turn your shelves over in case of some sag. in all...

    shelf pins

I use the flat ones. You can get them in a variety of finishes and there is no work involved unlike dowels. I don't mind making my own stuff, but life's too short for stuff you can get 100 for a fiver. The trouble with round ones is that you need to drill a semi circle into the edge of the...

    Table saw conundrum....

why is left blade tilt better? I have often wanted that with my Scheppach, as using the rip fence with right tilt traps the wood under, however this was one benefit i saw of the rip fence that comes with the X being double sided, you can choose the safest route... Also if there is a new one, I...

    Table saw conundrum....

Tomorrow being the one year anniversary of the last reply to this post, and I have not moved on an inch... We are in the process of building a house (at the planning stages now) and I wanted to wait for that to be ready before committing to something, plus I needed the dosh. However i will...

    Laminate shears

The problem i have with score and snap is that you really have to go right across. I wanted to cut many small pieces from a 12x5 sheet... However careful planning has enabled this, but odd shaped pieces are still wasteful, and boy this stuff is dear over here. No worries Lons, anyone who...

    Laminate shears

So i asked him, and he kindly tried, but i was a little too late. I seem to be having more success with scoring and snapping now, so i may be ok, until i find some in the UK more reasonably priced. Want to say thanks again to Lons for trying for me!
