    Cove Cutting on Table Saw

Thanks, if Steve did it, then it must be possible to do it safe ;-) I am happy with having to sand, Steve Ramsey cut a sanding block from polysterene to match. Also could scrape. Was just thinking I have no tool that could cut wide elliptical profiles like this. I think i would use a special...

    Interesting drawer joint idea

Now I just make my own furniture ;-) I think if you're making 1/2" for shop drawers, or for some furniture that not nicely crafted, the price won't be very different, commercials already have ways of mass producing these joints anyway. I think the thing that would put me off is the probable...

    Interesting drawer joint idea

Yes, I have a drawer lock joint router bit that seems similar. However, I think the key difference could be that you cut from one piece of wood, and then fold it up. All the other methods I've seen still require separate pieces to be milled, cut, assembled etc. I have not doubt this is strong...

    Cove Cutting on Table Saw

I've seen so many videos now of people cutting interesting things on TS. I don't think I'll go as far as Izzy Swan making a ball on a table saw, however I've now seen Izzy, Wood Whisperer, Steve Ramsey and many others cutting coves on the TS. Yes, they're all yanks right. So I was wondering...

    Double workshop doors

I have those magswitch accessories, and found them very useful, however when I went to do the double height against the P/T fence (as you have in first picture), and I used the extra long bolts, I found that they square ends were significantly smaller than the slot, and therefore they just spun...

    Interesting drawer joint idea

Isn't the edge of ply ALWAYS half end grain, no matter which direction you cut it?

Foil Tape for Dishwasher to go under counter top

Thanks folks. Looks like i was not detailed enough in my question. The rolltop was not laminated by me, so it's a fairly standard wrapped edge. This picture is from underneath on another section. It has some kind of plastic sheet on the bottom, which overlaps the laminate by 1/2" or so...

Foil Tape for Dishwasher to go under counter top

It was recommended to me that where my dishwasher is, I put some foil tape under the front of the counter, to, erm, counter any moisture that could damage the top. I have a formica top, so it's just chipboard. Question is, would any kind of silver/foil tape do, or are there some certain...

    Cutting Acrylic

I cut some today for jigs for drawer handles. Table saw did great job, on cross cut sledge. Then router for slots. Plunge and go with a board underneath, only went an eighth into that. U would say sandwich not necessary I filed the sharp edges however for a great edge a router is the way...

A recent project for grandmother-in-law RIP

Thanks for the comments. Both the cross and the frame are temporary until the ground settles a few months after being fully "populated" then they will be replaced by granite, so they weren't quite as special as those you guys have made.

Steve's workshop - Painting the outside walls

Personally I can't wait to finish all the things I _have_ to make, so i can start on all the things I want to make, other than workbench and arcade machine it's been all need rather than desire.

    Cutting Acrylic

I've cut with table saw, bandsaw, track saw, jig saw, and for the best finish, a router. All worked well.

Steve's workshop - Painting the outside walls

I had to move my drill press to new shop and was surprised that it was the most difficult piece of kit to move. We took the head and base off, and it took 3 of us struggling to lift the head.

    WIP Roubo: Finishing

More progress and photos, there's pressure to get back to doing the kitchen, so being working quite hard on it! Firstly some that come before the last photos, this is during hand planing the top to mostly pretty quite flat... not perfect, but definitely good enough, and no lip from front to...
