    Decking woods

Jason, superb deck you made there. Have you not got any space between the boards, it doesn't show on the pictures? Also, did you make that lovely bench at the end of the deck?? :D (last picture). Neil, as you know too well it is rather hard to get anything sophisticated in this country!? Nice...

    Decking woods

Hi all, I plan to make a deck soon. I am going to get some quotes on the timber but before I start investigating can anyone tell me what wood type is to be avoided and what is better. I want to try to have as much a natural tint as possible, may be using oil. Pressure treated is good though. I...

    Planer/Thicknesser Dilemma

Hi, I didn't get my thicknesser yet and have the axminster CT 150 planer. The thought of changing modes would put me off using the tool, so it's seperates all the way for me  I think you are making the right choice dddd

    Clamp rack

Hi All, well a few weeks ago, I finally made it back into the workshop for the first time this year. My baby didn't give me much time to spare in January to March. So to get me back with ease I decided to build a clamp rack à la Norm :norm: Here is the result after a few hours over 2 week...

New EB DH 330 portable thicknesser - Review needed

Les, Go to McQuillans Tools on Capel street (downstairs). Tell us what you thought of it. They also have a second shop in the Blanchardstown shopping centre (or beside it). They should have it there too but not sure. I don't know when I'll get a chance to go myself. CYC

New EB DH 330 portable thicknesser - Review needed

Noel, I am going to go and see it in the flesh when I get a chance. They have the Delta there too at the same price so I will have a compare. I won't be able to run them as I know they don't do tests (booo) but with the knowledge of the Delta you gave me I'll have good grounds for a face off

New EB DH 330 portable thicknesser - Review needed

Hi all, I am looking at getting a portable thicknesser. So far thanks to the help of Neil and Noel I have a really thorough review of the Delta and Makita thicknessers. They used to be the only contenders for me until very recently! A dealer in Dublin sells the EB DH330 at a really good price...

Nice TV :D Isn't that what you were showing!? :P Nice job, I'll remember that trick, well thought. I really like the little detailed lines to give the impression of large stones.
