Panasonic drill driver combo for £180

Hi, A bit too technical for me but are you saying that I am quite OK to buy the US cordless and plug their chargers into our site transformers? Are you 100% certain? cheers, jon.

    anyone used the dw733?

Hi, I also have a DW733 and can honestly say that I have never had a single board yet that shows any sign of snipe. The one minus point though, go's to the cutterhead lock which is a tad stiff to engage but it is only a minor thing and I would recommend one without doubt. cheers, jon.

    A Thank You

I would just like to add to this ongoing generosity. One forum member has very kindly offered a new blade arbor kit which he no longer has a use for. The kit will allow me to use stacked dado's on my supersaw like the American model. On asking how much he wanted, I was told " if you can make...

    hi

Hi, If it is a wide split and you can get a sash cramp on to pull it back together, then using some poly- urethane glue to fill the split and cramping back up should fix it. It will depend on how much force is pulling it apart to use a PVA effectively so I would go down the PU option to be sure...

    hi

Hello Sean, If the crack is developing from end grain, make sure there's plenty of paint on it. Also, what timber have you used? cheers, jon.

Panasonic drill driver combo for £180

Gareth, An exellent price and Panasonic drills are up at the top end of tools now. I have got one question though. I buy a lot of tools from the U.S. and use them perfectly OK with a 110v transformer, but when I spoke to engineers from Dewalt I was told that it is quite alright to use the...

    hand plane?

Hi, There is currently an auction going on in ebay for an old plane and the bidding currently stands at well over £1000. I am a little in the dark where planes are concerned so can someone have a look and tell me what is special about this one please! The category it's in is woodworking...

    Xcalibur 804 Tablesaw

Hi Nailer, I wouldn't worry too much about the bit of vibration left. Due to the motor and trunnion assembly being directly fixed to the main table, you will always have a small amount anyway, no link belt or better pulley's will get rid of it totally. Spend your time and money on good blades...

My planer seems to like bowing my boards!!!!!!!

Hi Chris, When you feed the board over the cutterhead, try not to push down on the timber. Let the board slide all the way across the tables under it's own weight, this should stop the problem. cheers, jon.

    self adhesive measuring tape

Hi Phil, If it's the case of a standard left to right your wanting, I recently needed about eight feet as well for a mitre saw fence extension and just bought a cheap 99p eight foot tape measure and fixed with contact adhesive once cut to length. cheers, jonny.

    Attaching face frames

HI, Depending on how thick your face frame is, I often use 23gauge pins. Very thin and difficult to notice, they come as long as 30mm and perfect for holding while glue sets. cheers, jonny.

    Record TSPP250

Hi, I understand what you mean. I am not familiar with the table saw in question and it sounds as though the method of construction follows the style of "cabinet" table saw's and the motor and trunnion assembly are directly fixed to the base and not the table. Hope it stay's true when...

    Record TSPP250

HI, Any fixture or unit that requires a level of repeatability when fixing/removing it would certainly be all the more accurate if it had to locate into fixed pins. The level of accuracy simply cannot be achieved by threaded fixings alone and for this reason, I would get the position of the...

Hi, Very nice matching pair Alf. I've made many tables very similar with a drawer fitted for beside the bed. I don't know how to put photo's on the computer or I would have let you see them. cheers, jonny.
