Spiral router cutters for reasonable money

Mike Humphries (Woodrat teaching fame) recommended for me to buy HSSE bits from Tend (designed for the aluminium window trade), as they are way cheaper than normal spiral bits. I have a 5mm 8mm and a 10 mm . They work a treat. :)

    Self Centering Dowel Jigs

There is also the Vertitas cabinet jig thingy: http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.aspx?c=2&p=42200&cat=1,180,42311 Way more expensive but very versatile, I picked done up second hand when I was in living in the US and just love it

    Fixing butt hinges on MDF

You can buy these, you need to cut a rebate on the lip of the door to fit them but they look super. I bought a box of 40 years ago and now have 4 left which I'm saving for a future project. Mine are not branded but I got them from a Dutch DIY Chain but haven't seen them around for ages now (mind...

    Savaplug-fact or fiction.

Hmm so 20 quid is just about right pricing, the trouble is how do you know it's working for you,? But hey for 20 quid it's probably worth a punt

    Savaplug-fact or fiction.

I think this works in the same way some drill speed controllers work, so in principle it seems to be sound to this physicist. You can slow a drill down by chopping the sine wave of the AC current (so there is actually sections of the sine wave missing) , and so the motor runs slower .I assume...

    Rasping

I'm a great fan on the Microplane set of rasps (more like cheese graters but very fine ) I got my set from Dick http://www.dick-gmbh.com The love chairs I'm working on currently plus many other projects have benefited from them, and relatively cheap.

    Workwear

I use the Dickies trousers (I get them locally but they are available from Axminster) and have the knee pads that slot into (a real god send if you have bony knees like me) They are made from Shiny material but are very good quality and last a long time. And as they have some sort of non...

    Overalls for Long Bodied People

So 6'1" (a midget by dutch standards) with a 28" inside leg, OK I can work with that (what about your waist size? - you can always PM me that) I presume having overall that fit your body that you can turn up the legs will be fine. Any design considerations (dungarees or normal) Flame proof or...
