Which type of clamp would be your go to?

For quick jobs I just use some cheap trigger operated 12" or 24" clamps (4 of each). I've got some 4ft sash clamps for larger stuff. I always wish I had more, or that they were 1" deeper, or.... etc etc

    Workshop/Garage Power Upgrade

So is the feed to the garage at the moment a spur (32A?!), or is there a proper ring return? If it's a ring then you're fine adding sockets yourself, adding them to an existing ring is not notifiable under Part P.

I've not used it yet, but I've just got one of the Triton routers as they have a lift built in - not sure what your aspirations are with this project though and whether you want to build the lift yourself.

Charnwood vs Axminster table saw fences

I thought this was a US vs UK trend, with one school of thought saying it was more accurate, the other saying there was an increased chance of pinching against the blade?

    Dust Extraction AGAIN

I think most people will say that if you can duct to outside without concern for mess/heating loss, then do it. It takes the whole "filtering enough" debate right out of the equation.

Joining sheet base to timber frame

Ok, I think I know the lesson to learn here, but wanted to check! So, timber frame from 2x2 (verticals) and 3x1 (horizontals) over a 2'x1' approx build to make a cube. I cut half laps at the end of each of the verticals, which took the long horizontals, and at 90degrees to that at the midpoint...

    Desktop Laser Engraver/Cutter.

I suggest you check out Open Builds, there's a great community there with loads of experience :). I've spent a lot of time reading on that site as I've been toying with the idea of a CNC miller for quite a while!

    Clamps doe edge gluing?

Although they're not as good as the more expensive ones, there are some 4ft clamps available online for about £15 a clamp if that's better for your pocket.

Sparks assistance required please, exterior light.

I don't want to come across as argumentative, but that is categorically not notifiable - q5 on the IET website is linked below. http://electrical.theiet.org/building-r ... p/faqs.cfm Building controldon't need it either https://www.buildingcontrolpartnershiph ... intro.aspx You're right...

Cheap router choice for table mount

What are the views on the triton ones? For table use they seem to have great accessibility and adjustment from above.
