Why not go between your options for something like https://www.amazon.co.uk/Triton-JOF001- ... B004OR17F2
It's small, versatile, and takes 1/2" shanks.
If you wanted a more powerful unit I'd suggest the Hitachi M12VE/J6 which is a great router but far less than the Dewalt. It's a fairly bulky...
I'd go for a shop vac personally (sorry, can't recommend a make, created my own). Rationale being that your band saw will produce dust not chips, and for the most part on the lathe it's the dust you want to control, the shavings are easily tidied.
I can't spot what you say your arbor is for the saw, so can't give you part numbers, but if you wanted a pair of 12" blades I'd say a 30T and 72T would give you a good rip and crosscut option. If you wanted to cut a lot of laminated material you might want a 96T too. If you wanted a...
I've no experience with that machine per se, but the flow rate of 300m^3/hour on the Axminster site seems woefully underpowered for a system of HVLP requirements.
Where do people recommend for hinges for box making please? I'm thinking of having a go at a few boxes since they seem to test/develop quite a lot of skills in a single project. I really don't like loose lids though so would like to do hinged.
Thanks.
I've got one, and I'm really pleased with it. Probably about 30mm of snipe on the boards, but an excellent finish otherwise. Height adjustment is easy and holds true during use.
I don't move it very often at all, it's in the corner near the garage door, maybe a foot out from the wall and 2/3 foot from the garage door itself. Means that for most small rips I use it in situ. For wider rips I either roll it away from the wall, or just half open the garage door.
I'm another single garage user, and got an Elektra Beckum PK200 since it's light enough to be movable on casters, but has an expanding table that can take a reasonable amount. For fixed items I've got a workbench with pillar drill, lathe bench, rack of shelving, dust extractor, and a RAS. Mobile...
I'm a huge fan of going the hybrid route. Microservers can often be picked up cheap and are extremely versatile and powerful for the money (I've got an N54L), and if you then slap on XPenology via a USB stick the setup is simple and you get the benefit of superb interfaces.
In the past I've...
