Advice on Ebay, PayPal and collection

eBay and PayPal are very separate now. You pay now eBay not PayPal on a normal transaction and the seller is paid by eBay, so to be asked to pay via PayPal means you are not covered. I agree with the above that it could well be a hacked eBay account. Also ask yourself the hard question - is this...

Well so much for 'mixed reviews' sounds like I should try the Mirka/3M/Morrels mesh discs. You all might convert me...

    Sanding discs and saw blades

    1. I can't bring myself to cough up silly money for sanding mesh and I've heard mixed reviews anyway. I use Flexovit from Screwfix which are good value for money but if I could find any I would buy those made from Mirka Mirox sandpaper. Toolstation sell the sheets and it really is excellent...

S.A.D hitting me early this year

In modern parlance this is part of 'mindfulness'. We are incredibly lucky where we live in beautiful countryside but you can get so used to it, so now I stop and take it in as often as I can. Watching red kites glide over the woods and fields around us really helps to stop you in your tracks.

S.A.D hitting me early this year

did you get to see the Northern Lights over the last 2 nights?

S.A.D hitting me early this year

Yes it could well be the worsening weather we've had this last month. I take Vitamin D as I don't process enough even in summer despite working outside most of the day. As well as a host of other things you need Vit D for you need it to process calcium. In my case I've had problems with sleep...

    Wedge making jig

Make an adjustable taper jig. This one has been made for a table saw but easily adapted. Simple Taper Jig // Jointer Jig // Woodworking // Diy Jig - YouTube It's on my list to make but I do have an even simpler taper jig, not as versatile as the above, that I bought from Axminster that may be...

Screwfix Drill/Impact Driver Twin Pack Bargains - DeWalt vs Makita

I have the Dewalt Li-on Drill and Impact driver, mine are 5 years old now but still as good as the day I bought them and I've used them extensively. I use the impact driver only for heavy duty work in the house and garden where it is invaluable. I just use the drill on low speed to drive screws...

    Defective Thicknesser or Hamfisted Use?

I've just bought a Triton Thicknesser and would be interested in a photo of the sled in action if that's possible? Could you start a new thread though as I don't wish to hijack this thread. @50020 Your contract is with Mano Mano and they should take it back at their cost and either have it...

    Dementia and me.

Yes MDTs (Multi Disciplinary Teams) is where all health care regions need to be. Some are, some aren't and some are part way there. Progression is down to the willingness of all health and social care bodies to work together; unfortunately not all of them are that willing as politics and money...

Storage Units for the contents of my workshop??

Buy some acf50 (expensive but it goes a long way) and spray it lightly over all metal parts. You could also use acf50 grease on greased areas like wormscrews, gears etc. For cast iron table tops wipe a thin layer of acf50 then apply machine wax. Then cover it all as above. Good luck for the...

    Thicknesser or Planer - Thicknesser

Well done that man! I just managed t get the £270 spend past the Finance Director I think as we are just about to start a new phase of building work another £130 would have met with much howling and wailing and nashing of teeth...especially as I've recently bought a vintage pillar drill and a...
