My Soil Pipe based DE System.

I had another look over the extractor this morning and there are various plates attached to it, none giving a model name or number I'm afraid.

    bluebosch

The cynic in me suspects that is because a post to twitter is seen by far more people than an email! I think you're the chap I have to thank for introducing me too 600mm LED panels so, erm, Thanks

    Katsu

Yes, that would be the one and - as you rightly observe - available for less than the cost of a single Makita battery. Like droogs says below, I'd read elsewhere that Katsu manufacture for Makita, hence why their trim routers are so much alike in appearance, handling, performance and hey accept...

    Katsu

I know a few of you have Katsu trimmers and can't fault them, anyone have any experience of their drills, which look a lot like the Makita ones?

4" Soil pipe for dust extraction

Rather than clog this section I've created a new post here: https://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/forums/my-soil-pipe-based-de-system-t109219.html

My Soil Pipe based DE System.

A couple of forum members asked me to post some photos of my dust extraction system so here goes. This photo gives an overview (almost) of the system. At the top left hand corner is The Beast at the heart of the system, a wall mounted Axminster dust and chip extractor. Here's a birds eye-view...

I've always been curious about your username, are you a fan of Vanian and co?

    Dust bag

Does the bag size matter? Unfortunately the remote idea won't work as it has a built in NVR

    Dust bag

This is my dust and chip extractor, pictured in its old home. It's now in its new home (aka my garage) in what would be the diagonally opposite corner, about a similar height up. Being vertically challenged, I have to stand on tip toes or use a push stick to switch it on and hope I'm out of the...

4" Soil pipe for dust extraction

Now I've completed (I think) my dust extraction set up, I have a section of 4" soil pipe left over, approx 8 feet long if anyone has a use for it and wants to come pick it up for free. This stuff https://www.screwfix.com/p/floplast-underground-drainage-pipe-3m/25648

I think Axminster stock them. Failing that, Festool offer something similar

    Thinking to buy a router

If you think you need a router then my advice would be THINK AGAIN - and think long and hard about it. I was in your position not so very long ago, albeit without the benefit of this site and its largely experienced, knowledgeable and infinitely patient denizens willing to advice and guide you...

    Any electricians in the house?

Fuse replaced, all working again. Despite having the cover off just the other day, the beggar didn't want to move again today!

    Any electricians in the house?

Excuse my ignorance here but isn't that what the unit on the right labelled M is? Following suggestions I stripped out the cable IL and replaced it with a length of 2-core 6 Earth. That didn't work so I tried bypassing the switch(es) and wired cable FM straight to the 2-gang. That didn't work...
