So what was the final straw that saw the complete removal of the most popular thread on the entire forum?

Incra ibox & British table saws

If your shop bought router table is of the mdf type with mitre slots screwed in, could you remove these, rout the slots to accept a 'standard' mitre track, e,g one of Incra's which will accept the slider on an iBox. I had the same problem with my Charnwood saw but no such problem with the shop...

    Riveter

I could make Mother Theresa look like the devil incarnate and still be restricted to beer money pressies. Oddly enough, found one on facebook, literally round the corner for £5 including a selection of rivets! Picking up in the morning. By the sounds of the xperience shared so far on here...

I don't imagine having enough use for one to justify buying a compressor too. Only occasion when I've wondered if one might have been a better option than the smallest screws I had was when I was building a childs toy that involved some tiny hinges going into very thin wood. In the end I used...

Hate to use the dreaded "C"-word but there's no escaping it's coming up fast and I must have been a good boy this year as I've been asked what I'd like from Santa. I know full well there's a world of difference between what I would like and what I'm likely to receive so I was thinking of maybe...

That's useful thanks. Think I might have been going a tad fast with the hole-saw in MDF!

You can relax now. I decided I couldn't afford the move to Shetland and it would be marginally cheaper just to buy one so I did. Been having a play with it and loving the ability to rase and lower the head rather than the table. Couldn't resist a quick test so cut some 102mm holes in 18mm pine...

Not quite ubderstanding the stability part. Are you saying the whole machine moves when drilling or there's a bit of wobble in the, er, bit? Have you seen this? Perhaps you could adapt this idea to give extra depth?

Less than two years old (don't think I ever got round to registering it), seen very little use (remote still on first set of batteries!). Asking £150 collected from lovely Lincoln.

Any crofts going up there? I'd relocate in the blink of an eye! I saw that Manor Wood video this morning and that had me reaching for my wallet. Common sense (and an empty wallet!) prevailed and I thought I'd see if there was any members with guidance to offer afore jumping in and potentially...

It's one of those cheapy Chinese machines I'm upgrading from, mines has a Silverline badge but there appears to be dozens of others out there all pretty much identical. Even the basic model from Record Power appears to be much the same machine/spec but being RP is double the price! I think it's...

    Trades People

Seems to be some confusion here; I DIDN'T MAKE THE DOORS, I BOUGHT THEM! My reason for BUYING is precisely the same as my reason for wanting an experienced joiner to come fit them for me - I haven't the confidence in my own ability to tackle it myself. I know my limitations and whereas I'll...
