    Keeping the shop toasty

So how do people keep their shop warm and toasty on these cold winter evenings? I have a couple of 2Kw fan heaters which work OK in the workshop attached to the garage but if I'm in the main part of the garage doing some assembly etc which is too large for the w/s then they struggle. Add to...

    Another compresser query? Noise?

Oh yes, and by quite a margin I have no doubt. I've found it's one of those things that once you've got one, you use it more and more and then wish you'd bought a bigger one! I'm planning on putting in an air ring main in the workshop and hooking a supplementary tank on to the main as I have...

    B&Q Triton Router UPDATE

There's a unit at the end of one of the isles in our local B&Q (Eastwood) and I've seen a similar area at the Sutton in Ashfield one, where ex-display stuff is on offer at knock down prices, usually with bits missing. Triton circular saw is on the pile at the moment for about £80, no box...

    Elektra Beckum Motor Protection Reset

I find these handy for initial investigations, doesn't require opening stuff up and little or no chance of frying yourself.

    B&Q Triton Router UPDATE

My local B&Q has now cleared all the Triton stock etc and they now have on offer 1 Bosch, 1 Performance power and 1 odd unbranded thing on offer. The Trend and Triton are no longer available, all the Trend cutters and accessories are now gone. There are however a few performance power cutters...

Not sure if these are any use: http://www.maplin.co.uk/searchtemplate. ... LOW%20FUSE, near the end of the page showing as "Time delay" fuses.

3HP compressor (for spraying) keeps blowing 13A fuse - help?

I have 16A supply in my shop, I'd be happy to take it off your hands for you :D Did it come with the blue 16A plug on it or a standard 13A?

    Work Surface Height?

I'd say go for the height you're comfortable working at. Just be careful with any heavy or top heavy machines where mounting them high may cause issues of stability.

    Router Table - Help Please

At the moment, it's a question of laminating enough MDF together to get the required thickness for the template cutter bush to run on something without the cutter going too deep, or finding a stubby template cutting bit I guess. Oh I bet it will, cutting the slot of the track wasn't too bad...

UK wood glue for 18mm Ply

It's probably over kill, but having had PVA fail on a couple of things, I've taken to using this stuff which is fast setting, weather resistant and incredibly strong.

Triton TRB-001 12 mm collect or collet sleeve?

Can I ask where you sourced the extra collet from?

    Changes at B&Q ???

Almost certainly, and I'll bet it will be cheaper to boot! My local woodyard does 8'x4' 18mm ply for under £20 a sheet

Hardwood for jigs / fences etc.

A good supply of 8-12mm perspex / polycarbonate is handy as well. We have a local supplier that makes signs, I nip in and beg the odd offcut either for free or a few pennies!

Triton TRB-001 12 mm collect or collet sleeve?

Having had a 1/4" bit slip out of the Triton collet with the supplied reducer, I could well be interested in a properly sized collet if it fits!
