    tools or wood?

    I suspect at the moment it's wood. Buying custom molded architrave and biscuit jointing it on to 6" boards to make new skirting for the entire house as well as sufficient for the architraves isn't cheap. Tool collection is relatively limited at the moment 2 lathes (1 converted to a scary saw)...

    Been looking at a SIP (been please with my cross cut mitre saw) and after looking on here the Xcalibur looks rather nice. Planned jobs vary and for some I suspect the bandsaw may be a better tool for others the table saw.

    Myford ML8

    I've acquired a Myford ML8 wood turning lathe. I don't know much about turning and was wondering if this is worth keeping hold of or would I be better off selling it on and getting something a little more modern? I guess the main use I have for a lathe is table / chair legs.

    But are they actually any good? I'm looking at buying a table saw ATM as the attachment on the lathe is scaring the c**p out of me. Is it worth spending £70 on this or do I spend £400 on something else?
