Post a photo of the last thing you made

Was messing about with some scrap bits of birch ply, and thought id have a go at a box. I edged piece of ply with mahogany first, then glued up to form the box, then did the same with panels for the lid and the base. Turned out better than expected, so lined it with some pig suede and will...

    Finishing birch plywood arcade cabinet

Nice unit. I’m a fan of osmo polyx. It’s a hard wax oil. I usually use the satin finish, but they do a glossy one too. they sell test sachets for less than £2, so could be worth prepping an off cut as suggested above, and then try a sample to see if you like it

Dado 25mm router bit with 25mm thick MDF

try on a test piece and see? You may be better off getting a19mm router bit and making 2 passes on the width, one at the full width, and then ease over the bit to get a snug fit? Depth wise, usually no more than half the thickness of the material, suggested 1/3, so prob 8mm deep

    Fitting integrated washing machine?

I noticed this with my current machine, I was surprised as its really still - its a 1600 spin machine (don't know what that means, wife told me!!) and it just doesn't move at all. The door attaches to the appliance, and that doesn't move vibrate or anything.

    Fitting integrated washing machine?

Just fitted a new one and we have a gap at the top, the last one I had was a Bosch and I managed to buy a height adjustment kit for it to get it to the worktop height, this is an aeg and doesn’t have a it, but has been perfectly fine. I was going to put a trim piece in to cover the gap which I...

How do I create a cupboard door like this?

Are you looking to paint the unit when complete or leave it natural wood colour? MDF is quite widely used for things like this, MR MDF is a bit better then normal MDF - and its not as expensive as buying lots of timber Plus, if its one of your first projects, you could ask the place you buy...
