    Gardening

I would leave the fronds on, as these will still supply the fern with Nutrients. I live in a bit of a frost pocket and all i do is place some straw (or dead fronds) in the crown. This is the area that needs protection from the frost.

    Help with new company name

I've checked the business name, limited company name and the trade mark and nothing came up. So can we still register this name as our limited company name. This person is at the other end of the country in Scotland (380 miles away).

    Help with new company name

What if this person hasn't registered the name or the trademark, just placed it on the adds page to get some business. Surely he's in the wrong if it's not registered at all.

Andy+Andy Thanks for the reply. I have just found out that we have already booked a holiday cottage down the coast for this year but i may have a look for later next year. The La Bois Francs in Normandy does look nice from the images i've seen.

    Help with new company name

I have a list of names that i'm checking to see if available on the internet and companies house. One name that we like is not listed on companies house so i presume is available but after a internet search i have found this name used on a yell.com style directory. If this person hasn't...

What grade of wood should I ask for?

1" is going to be too tight so it looks like 1.25" (32mm). Are the skirtings going to be painted?, if so why not use 22mm MDF.

    Question for Axminster AW10BSB2 owners/users

Jeff I think you would struggle a bit. The sliding table is only 500x350mm (ish) so not alot of support of the sheet. The crosscut fence also isn't locked down too well so i few knocks from an 8x4 at 25mm will soon have you cutting out of square.

    European Centreparcs

We have had a few holidays in the UK centreparcs but wouldn't mind exploring into another country and having a look at what our european friends have to offer. Has anyone been to any of the european sites? how do they compare to the UK versions.

    Multipoint locks in wooden doors

This will be done with the flush bolts that are fitted top and bottom to leaves 2 + 3. The multilock is mainly for door 1 with the added security that if one day i did forget to lock the flush bolts (doors 2+3) it wouldn't be a case of simply pulling away from the frame as you state. Not sure...

    Multipoint locks in wooden doors

Good point. These are replacing a set of doors that already have a multipoint locking system but i will find out. Thanks

    Multipoint locks in wooden doors

Jake, not sure if i didn't make it clear enough at the start. These are 3 doors (bi-fold) that all open to the right side. The locking keeps will be in the main frame, not a door. I will ask the local company here and i have been talking to a supplier online since this morning about these...

    Multipoint locks in wooden doors

Not even if the hook locks are deadbolted too? This will only be when the doors have not been locked via the flush bolts (ie, I forgot to lock them), which will only be after the doors have been fully opened (need hot weather for that)

    Multipoint locks in wooden doors

Los, this won't work with my set-up as the track is above the doors so no fixing spot. Why i would like hook type deadbolts is so if doors 2+3 are not secured one night, you can't pull open as door 1 (with the locks) will restrict sideways movement. If using a standard pin or deadbolt any...
