    seal the edges with sanding sealer then sand them back when the grain has risen and dry , then repeat the proses after which you can finish as you wish WOODBUTCHER

    Help needed with the fixing of a fire surround

    the correct way to fit a wooden mantle is to use mirror brackets two on the sides and two on the mantle and let them into the plaster you should also let the surround in by about 6mm so that any smoke dose not escape from the sides. Woodbutcher.

    1=old black & decker from the 1970's and still works well 1= dewalt 1/4" v good 1= 1/4" nutool 6years old and exellent like the old elu's 1= 1/2" nutool 3years old and a good workhorse both the nutool's are very strong and exellent value for money! WOODBUTCHER

    Aldi Compressor & air tools from Thursday 1st March

    I have a 24lt sip and that is perfectly adequate for any nail gun because you only use the air in short bursts that is stored in the chamber. The problem comes when you want to spray then you need a constant supply of air and the machine is constantly trying to keep up WOODBUCTHER
