    Rexon - Any comments ?

Thanks for the advice Mike. I generally replace all screws etc with high tensile stainless steel which makes everything easier to undo when the time comes to take something apart but I replace all the originals if the machine has to go back within the warranty period

    Rexon - Any comments ?

That's a good point, I hadn't thought about colour matching tools to my workshop decor. The walls are purple, the wife's idea, OMG, I'll have to get rid of everything that's not purple

    Rexon - Any comments ?

I don't come across much about tools made by Rexon. I use a Rexon DE-1000F Dust Extractor and although being a bit bulky for my limited workshop space it does a good job with all but the finest dust and it is great for hoovering up sawdust and chips after using my Erbauer mitre saw which has a...

    Hollowing out a log ?

I'm stuck on this probably very simple question. I want to hollow out a log to make a 'natural' bird box but I'm not sure what I need to achieve this end. The log is from a larch and is about 6" wide and 9" deep, age since cutting is about a year and it's been in my workshop since then. What is...

    Air Nailer kit Reviews ?

*My apologies to all members for trying to sell you my sister, it was a terrible thing to inflict on this community and she has now been confined to my chest along with the taxman  * Thanks for all the info, I've passed it onto Santa and between us we will find a good set up which...

    Air Nailer kit Reviews ?

 I always wondered about the spirit level question but it's good to finally know how it's done.....I was, however, wondering if anyone wants to buy my sister ? She's in full working order, has very few defects, a slight weight problem requiring the additional purchase of a small industrial...

    Air Nailer kit Reviews ?

 I could answer yes but in fact no, I just happened to be around  The reason I need a 50mm capacity is that a current run of projects, which if successful, will become a regular run of projects require fixing together with at least a two inch nail and preferably fired from an air...

    What gets you annoyed ?

Plastic Packaging I get seriously fed up with some packaging around products, I mean you need to be a an anti-packaging specialist called Zort Winterburger to open some things...okay you don't have to be called Zort Winterburger and you don't need to be an anti-packaging specialist but there...

    Air Nailer kit Reviews ?

It does indeed Ralph, thanks. Any suggestions, if I go for the Argos version, where I can get a gun with 50mm capacity that'll run happily on the Argos compressor specs ?

where do people get their router bits from

I have to agree about Perform cutters, very good value for money and stay sharp and accurate compared to cheaper Screwfix cutters which have a tough job going through the kind of wood I throw at them, okay I don't throw it at them but there have been times.... :D

    Air Nailer kit Reviews ?

I'm thinking about asking Santa for an airnailer kit, although I'll probably end up with just 'air' :D , but seriously does anyone have any recommendations of air nailers as complete kits or can point me to any reviews. Max size of nail I'll need to fire is two inches as I don't need something...

    Erbauer Router ?

Thanks for the advice, I'll check that out and whichever router I go for in this price range I'll certainly bin the cutters and get myself some decent ones and I'm sure I'll notice the difference compared to what I put up with now  :)

    Will fireworks be banned ?

On November 5th this year airbomb type fireworks were all the rage, the slates on the old dog kennel rattled most of the night as one after the other thundered into the heavens above. The problem for many is that this didn't just happen on November 5th, it happened nearly every day & night for...

    Erbauer Router ?

I'll download the manual and read any reviews seeing as the Axminster tool might be a better deal. Never had much luck with sellers on Ebay, prefer somewhere like Axminster etc to talk to if anything goes wrong, not so easy with some Ebay/other on-line auction sellers  :)

    New Pictures

I've added a picture of a project I finished back in the Summer, nothing spectacular but I enjoyed making it as I've always wanted one but the cost to buy the 'geniune' item was way too much for my moth eaten pocket so I designed and built one myself
