    Help needed with Axminster Planer/Thicknesser

I have the same machine, purchased second hand.It had similar problems. It needed a thorough clean and polish on the feed bed - I used emery to remove fine pitting in the surface - and then used chrome polish to really get smooth surface. Cleaned off and then polished with v thin coat of wax...

    3D Pantograph

I print out the words required on the computer, 3 times the size needed and then set the pantograph for a 1/3 reduction. The pics show examples of a rocking horse with "Ben" engraved on the saddle bags and a wedding album presentation box (before finish applied) where I used this system. John

    AW106PT Fence Storage

I certainly agree regarding the fence stops. I check with a square when ever I change its position. I have suspended the extraction hose from the ceiling with a bungee cord so I can swing the hood over without too much difficulty. Extraction is not very good and use the air line to clear the...

    Santander - Faster Payments

Thank goodness for that! I also had made a couple of payments when it said they would be sent via the fast payment system, but was beginning to believe I dreamed it since all recent payments were the usual 3 working days in hyperspace. John

    Table saw guarding

Hi Mark, I have a Charnwood W650 TS, very similar to the Kity 419 and am in process of building the TS guard as detailed in Steve's DVD. For me, the existing crown guard is better than nothing but the added protection of Steve's SUV style guard is well worthwhile. I highly recommend the...

    Domino dust extraction

Hi Roger, I use a Trend extractor with a cut down adapter - works fine. To support the hose, I pass it through a large spring clip, attached to a roof beam. This then keeps the hose out of the way and supports its weight. HTH John
