    Turning and burning!

I have just come in from completing my very first proper scroll saw project. A Steve Good Large Gnome. Went fairly well and didn't break a blade :). Did get some burning though and would be interested on thoughts as to why. Was using 1/4" and 5/8" ply with No.2 and No.5 reverse blades...

    bandsaw blades

Solent Tools were very good when I recently needed blades for a Perform and a Draper. They also supplied drive belts and tyres for the wheels. https://sawbladeshop.co.uk/epages/50d8ac7c-378a-4fb0-b793-46361fcf9346.sf/sec0dd7914f4d/?ObjectPath=/Shops/50d8ac7c-378a-4fb0-b793-46361fcf9346/Categories

They then send the info' out to all the couriers registered with them and any that are interested quote you a price. I'm not totally sure...

    Hegner knocking - Help!

Think I might have found the culprit with your help. The small bolt attaching the motor to the arm was very loose to the extent it finally went twang and fell off thereby solving the problem of the knocking. Have put it back together and it seems fine although it has worked itself loose for a...

    Hegner knocking - Help!

So as pleased as punch I have set up my recently purchased second hand Hegner 2S. I have fitted the two expensive add ons (quick release tension rod and blade clamp) and attempted my first ever go at scroll sawing. Very soon I have done in 3 blades which I quite expected. However, my concern and...

Hegner Multicut 2 (1992) Quick Release upgrades

I have spent several days searching where I could purchase the highly recommended Quick Release Tension Rod which goes at the rear of my Hegner and the Quick Release Blade Clamp. Hegner UK's web site stated they were out of stock. Suffice to say I surfed the world and then decided to ring Hegner...

    Hegner Multicut 2

Can anyone help? I'm after a Quick Release tensioner for an old Hegner 2. The one that goes at the back to replace the original knob. Hegner appear to be permanently out of stock.

    Hegner Multicut 2

I have just been very fortunate and managed to buy a reasonably priced Hegner Multicut 2 (single speed). The machine is 30 years old but has only been lightly used. I understand it is possible to upgrade to a quick release tensioner. Can anyone suggest where I might source this item from? Hegner...
