If you would consider sending the to a UK address, I would consider purchasing 3 or 4 of the festoon items, still showing as available. Are they still available? I would want to use PayPal to pay you, no costs on your end, only on mine. Cheers Robyn

Advice re: best detail power sander

Looking for advice from those who are used to getting a fine finish on interior items, including boxes and clocks. I have been advised to purchase a Festool R90 FEQ Rolex sander. I know next to nothing about finish sanders and need advice? Is this the best sander for the job? It is round but...

    Purchasing tools on ebay

As a New Zealand resident (now) and formerly a Canadian resident, I have been confronting this issue for years. I eventually found a method, that I believe is better and cheaper than using the eBay Global/International system. I use a “reshipper’ such as MyUS.com which, for a fee, provides...

Purchase of a new table saw - needs to be moveable

Will look at the Festool option if I decide to go ahead with the power saw - it makes more sense than a bigger cabinet saw. I will also think about the Bridge City option, which although expensive may be sufficient for my immediate needs. Thanks for your thoughts. Cheers Robyn

Purchase of a new table saw - needs to be moveable

Thanks Patrick for your comments. When I say that I don’t have any woodworking experience, I do have some experience with hand saws, drills a circular saw etc from before I became sick as I was one of those people who put up shelves, hung paintings, curtains etc. made a bench and seat for the...

Purchase of a new table saw - needs to be moveable

Gentlemen, thank you all for your advice. I prefer straightforward advice to help me make informed decisions and that is what you have provided, so again, thanks for that. To address a few specific comments, NZ has the same voltage/amps as the UK, just our 3 point plugs are slightly different...

Purchase of a new table saw - needs to be moveable

Hi folks, I am looking to purchase a new small table saw. I mostly make boxes and panels with marquetry. I do not make “big” things but often have several hours worth of cutting pieces for the boxes I.e. repeatable cuts. I am not sure what kind of saw I should purchase. The newest Festool...

Advice regarding an eBay purchase (this is a current problem, so advice today is required- if possible)

Thank you. Your advice is noted. I,have acted upon it and told him I accept his offer of $15 US dollars. hi there, well the outcome at the moment is that he has sent the package without the fence, by fedex. I don’t know if he has sent the $15 cash until it arrives, but he did say he had paid...

Advice regarding an eBay purchase (this is a current problem, so advice today is required- if possible)

I am guessing that the UK Financial Ombudsman‘s powers do not extend to an eBay transaction between a USA based sellor and a NZ based purchaser.. my guess is eBay has a requirement in their Rules, that all disputes are resolved by them and all people that use eBay are required to submit to...

Advice regarding an eBay purchase (this is a current problem, so advice today is required- if possible)

Hi Adam, I was interested in your comments about the eBay procedure as I was left with the clear impression from @Phil Pascoe that there would be no satisfaction from deal with them. I actually was disappointed in his response because I had only had good dealings with PayPal. Anyway, I have...
