    Base for Domino

It's not about centring the mortise. The plate doesn't do that. The plate stops the very real drift of the factory thingy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Base for Domino

I was wondering the same as you, about the pencil. How does that solve the question. I mark my pieces, but having something that gives you the centre on 18mm isn't helpful. Define 18mm exactly on sheet materials. There isn't a centre to 18mm with tolerances of sheet materials. I pmd you about...

In my chaotic world anyway. Someone should snap Gidon's hand off for that offer.

You don't want an exact centre on 18mm. Here be dragons. You want something close enough that you tell if you have accidentally rotated it before glue-up. The 1/2 and 3/4 inch ones are perfect.

Courier Services for Large Items ???

Shiply is good, but be aware the price will generally come down closer to the job needing doing as the couriers want to get as many jobs under their belt on a particular run as they can, so it's more tempting for them - thereby making it more tempting for you to accept a lower price. What I...

I should say, expensive in the UK, you could make one easily enough - I got mine from chippy1970 when he ran off a load, best thing I ever bought for the Domino.

    Mitre saw madness

The fast fix from the Festool does fit the metabo, but the metabo doesn't fit the Festool. They aren't the same. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Mitre saw madness

The Mafell 10.8v is a re-badged Metabo. I'm not sure Metabo and Festool have had dealings though, not with Metabo and Mafell being buddies.

    Table Saw

Jimmy lost a finger last year. Watch his table saw tips video he does bang on about safety and promotes the do as I say, not as I do attitude. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Which engineered oak floor?

Or an off-cut and a heavy friend to stand on the bit you don't want to move when you hit it :)

    Mitre saw madness

I'd have one of those, dust collection looked impressive. Metabo (like Mafell) just don't like chucking money away on marketing do they :) - even though they make some seriously good stuff.

    building extension with steel frame

I was lucky to have a couple of steel contractors in just the next village, cost me 3 grand all in for the two goalposts which wasn't cheap by any means, but there was no other way to span the 11 meter open plan space we had planned, and as I said, it's over-specced to the max. This isn't how...

Router Suitable For Record Power Router Table

There was a draper expert in mine before I shifted it on for the exact reasons stated above...the fluffy mounting, that and lack of use. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    building extension with steel frame

I used a company called JHAI, don't know if they're in your area, but google them and you'll know what to search for.

    building extension with steel frame

I had a steel "goal post" extension build going on over the past couple of years at my place. Structural engineer recommended things that made the steel contractor wince - when two trades collide. Steel was specced (in the contractor's opinion) to that of a car park he'd constructed, we put it...
