    Rutlands get one free

That's the chap, but they're doing it with the feather board kit for £129 less discount. Just wondered what the insert is like as I am considering moving on my Triton table as the insert is a little flimsy.

Roger that, I'm exactly the same.

Anyone had a go on their router table? With the 15% off and free delivery, it's a steal...unless it's cr@p.

First Budget Mitre Saw, Weighing Up My Options

3 years on the Hitachi too. Their service centre is very efficient, sent my 12" in for re-calibration when I realised it was out. Came back all cleaned up, new brushes, the works.

First Budget Mitre Saw, Weighing Up My Options

Saw an Erbauer motor burn out on second use by a chippy when he was working on my roof a couple of years ago. I personally wouldn't touch one. They used to offer extended warranty didn't they? Not sure that's still the case.

First Budget Mitre Saw, Weighing Up My Options

I had to use one once, you're right, it's not brilliant but it was under a hundred at that time.

First Budget Mitre Saw, Weighing Up My Options

One thing with the Metabo, the money won't be wasted on frivolous stuff like marketing. Their XXL warranty is good though. I'm not even sure the Metabo mitre saw is any good though after all that :) Read some reviews. D&M have some Dewalts on offer this weekend, still above our budget though...

Letters can't be returned mate, soz.

Adventures in one day in the life of an Idiot.

Depending on which thickness you want the channel to be, depends on how creative you want to get with your lethal router. Ideally, you match the thickness of the channel to a bit you already have, but you're starting from scratch with those fancy Jewson bits, Mr Moneybags. Anyway, pick a size...

    C Z Tyzack On eBay

My Wife has a pier de merde in Old Town, but yes, Purton's alright, I don't understand PayPal in that case.

Has your router got a fence you can attach to it? And is it the full length of the leg you want to create a channel in? I'm (easily) confused.

    C Z Tyzack On eBay

I've ended up with loads of bits and pieces from that seller without ever really noticing - just going on price, you know. Always turns up very quickly.

    Miter saw won't cut straight.

Yep, there's a foot on it too I think, to stop the saw toppling over, but sometimes the foot needs adjusting up to make it all easier to move about too.

    Miter saw won't cut straight.

Ring Bosch, tell them, they'll send a courier to come and take it away and fix it. Those saws should have positive stops at the major cutting angles, unless you are doing something wrong? Did you register the extra warranty?

Reminds me of the time they left me in charge of the LHC when they all went for Christmas dinner. Losers.

    Base for Domino

All's well that ends well. I missed a lot of this yesterday as I was on a phone trying to keep up. But to be clear, I'm not suggesting the plate does anything for getting anything "right", it does mean you are referencing off the plate and not the base you have set your workpiece on, which...
