Interesting films about Russia, essential viewing!

Disposable income being what is left after tax is the Uk Government definition. Most accepted definitions of disposable income are that it's what is left after you have kept yourself alive. If you spend, for example, £800 of your £850 income on zero or reduced VAT rated items to stay alive...

Disposable income does not equal total income.

Interesting films about Russia, essential viewing!

Hint- I'm fully aware of how the mathematics works: If it were about the absolute sum, your statement would be correct given that those on higher incomes will generally spend more. You clearly stated that the proportion paid by those on lower income was higher. I repeat, that is a...

Interesting films about Russia, essential viewing!

Another attempt to dodge. It's simple maths: Most food is zero VAT rated, rent is almost always zero VAT rated, mortgage payments do not attract VAT, energy for heating is 5% VAT rated. These by definition will be the principle expenditures of those on low income. Unless your "rich person"...

Interesting films about Russia, essential viewing!

Are you saying that a greater proportion of the spending of someone lower down the income scale than the spending of someone higher up goes on VAT? Utterly preposterous....... you really have missed your calling as a politician or more likely a spin-doctor.....:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

    What is this called?

If you can access the inside of the barrel relatively easily before you cut the door out (which I appreciate may not be the case), you could do the door reinforcement before you cut it.......

    How's this for a conspiracy theory ?

From what little I know of the area I think conditions for fighting are actually better in the winter in the sense that stuff doesn't sink into the mud so easily. It may be that the Russian tank superiority in numerical terms would come to the fore....

    .

I reckon roughly 10% would get it right within the 3 seconds (marginally lower than if it were a sample of the general population), 30% would um and ah and eventually get it right, 20% would get it totally wrong and the rest would just immediately start flapping their gobs and going into default...

    "Russian doll" shed foundation question

Yes, I have used some of the older stuff over the years too. Still do basic quick setting out with two tapes sometimes. I still have a full chain somewhere in the workshop......

    "Russian doll" shed foundation question

Getting the 'shed' square becomes a little more taxing as they get bigger. We did one last year that was roughly 1.4 million square feet, 580 metres long by 220 metres wide, or about 18 football pitches in area. For the shed in question string lines and geometry are your best bet.

    Ground Beams — Shambles

Concrete is porous (most of the time). Whilst I agree that the tying wire is not finished well, it's actually not that much of an issue. Tying wire is just to hold the rebar in place, and moisture is already present in the mix. Very large structural slabs are poured with steel (or composite)...

    Ground Beams — Shambles

An awful lot less time than you might think, and even less time than half the ops using a poker give it. For the job shown in this instance using a 2 inch high frequency poker, it would not be beneficial for it to stay in one place for more than 4 or 5 seconds. It's far more important to move it...

    One family's solar story

The ODN datum level hasn't changed because it is the average of a large number of sea level readings taken over a period of several years up to about one hundred years ago. It is not related to current sea levels, which have changed since the ODN was established....

    Building control gone mad?

I'm afraid not. Since 2015 ALL construction work regardless of size, duration, man hours etc. comes under the CDM regulations. Under CDM the ultimate responsibilities lie with the client, or their specifically appointed representative. This is primarily with regard to the aspects of the work...

    Heatwave

Big business. Profit. Political inertia. If the US cannot legislate against their kids being slaughtered on a regular basis, how on earth will they legislate against CC? The same goes for just about every country on the planet for various reasons…. As others have mentioned, it’s ‘Human Nature’……
