    Mortgage rates / interest etc

Where is that 1%'s wealth tied up then? Stocks and shares.... Shares of what? At the end of it all, it comes down to something physical. I'm a "home owner" but the bank owns a significant portion of the property. And who owns the bank? Investors in the stock market.... You're entirely...

    Mortgage rates / interest etc

Its all Netflix and avocados now. Without them, we would all live like kings. Joking apart, you know that some people do actually blame the current generation's gap between earnings and housing costs on Netflix subscriptions. Actually, hang on a moment. Isn't that what you just did?

    Mortgage rates / interest etc

Money is a token that is related to assets. Money without physical assets is akin to me having a bundle of monopoly cash in my pocket. Its the relationship that the token has to the assets that gives it worth. So, forget about the very mobile token, and tax the asset that it relates to, as...

    Mortgage rates / interest etc

Again, i would ask for clarity - The government spent £600 billion over covid. My 3 person family does not have an extra £45k in the bank, so where has that money gone? Its a simple question.

Benefits scroungers - All those hugely wealthy companies relying on the tax payer subsidising the wage of their workforce. It's all about market economics until there's some cash to be had out of the tax payer. Then it's working tax credits and energy price subsidiaries.

    Mortgage rates / interest etc

This is a line so very often repeated, but its a nonsense. For example, do wealthy non-dom pay road tax on their cars in the uk? Of course they do. They're tangible objects that, whilst you can move them abroad, you cant both move them abroad AND use them to get around the M25 at the same...

    Mortgage rates / interest etc

The energy price cap is one of the craziest things. The economics of it are full on wealth redistribution once again. Windfall tax, great, subsidising (shifting tax payer money) to the energy companies is madness. But plays right in to the hands of the people who funded Truss' campaign.

    Mortgage rates / interest etc

Re landlord tax relief on mortgage payments - It should be noted that this applies to private landlords only. As ever, it does not affect those higher up the food chain.

    Mortgage rates / interest etc

Somthing that is so often overlooked with mortgages is the setup fee. If you average the setup fee for a fixed rate over the lifespan of the fixed term, then you may find that it adds 1.5% to the cost of the loan (obviously this is highly dependant) People so often overlook this. We had a...

    Wadkin BAO/s rise and fall?

Yep... It's not in front of me right now, but I think that, in order to get that bit off and mobile you need to take off all the lever stuff below. I'm not certain. It's hard to see whilst the table is so low. And catch 22, I can't raise it easily. Should have sorted all this before...

    Wadkin BAO/s rise and fall?

There the magic three position lever in position also. It looks like I need to take all that out to disconnect the bar from the table. (?)

    Wadkin BAO/s rise and fall?

I think its the lock mech, but im not certain. The online manual is so hard to read. I dont suppose anyone has a better quality copy than the attached, do they?

    FTAGH damaged BAO/S castings

I'm not braking a machine. The opposite. I'm sorting bits of my own machine and these are the cast offs. The offer was in case anyone had a machine worse than mine and these may do untill better are found. The belt housing isn't bad at all really, more that I replaced it as I could rather...

    Wadkin BAO/s rise and fall?

Put most of the bao/s back together again yesterday, but, like some kind of rookie idiot, didn't confirm the rise and fall before putting all the heavy stuff back on top! : / When rising or lowering it's very very hard (two hands on the wheel) and it's like it's binding and then releasing with...

    Sauter Shop and import taxes

I export the bulk of my product to overseas. Even though im registered with IOSS (the equivalent for the EU - ie i take eu vat, and pay a Swedish company to process it for me - all part of "taking back control") the issue is that the average EU consumer knows nothing of these details, but has...

Has the "wadkin appreciation" FB group expired?

I cant even see the group from my account if i search for it - its like it doesnt exist! I looked up the admin from my partners account, and messaged them. But that will get stuck in their "message requests" folder for months now before they see it anyway!

Has the "wadkin appreciation" FB group expired?

Thank you. Strangely, if i log in to FB on my partners account (on the same physical computer) the group is visible (although she isnt a member) but if i log in on my account, its as if the group doesn't even exist. I doubt ive managed to offend anyone talking about old table saws, but i guess...

Wadkin BAO/S gear box oil confusion.

I've not called them (didn't think about it till after closing) but I'm guessing this is the sort of thing you are talking about - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121630866785 Thank you.

Has the "wadkin appreciation" FB group expired?

I'm almost certain I used to be a member and now I can't even find it. Either I've somehow offended the FB gods, or it's gone... Can anyone give clarity, please? Thank you.
