Facebook marketplace purchases and importing into EU

The CN22 is a tickbox, a date, and a signature. It's not exactly a hardship. The post office will just hand it to the sender and tell them what to do. The greater issue for you is the taxes and processing fees that will be requested upon delivery.

Facebook marketplace purchases and importing into EU

I've never purchased anything from FB market place by mail. Rightly or wrongly, ive always considered it pick up only. I turn up with cash and go home with the goods. And vice versa if I'm selling. In the (I suspect) somewhat unlikely event that you convince someone to ship the item to you...

MDF or ply for veneered box?

Curiously, I do have a vaccum press, but it may not be as strong as is required. The item is a sheet of neoprene in a sealing steel frame with a vac pump attached. I'm guessing that's the sort of idea?

MDF or ply for veneered box?

Its the first one I'll be doing and would rather apply the veneer myself. Two (three) main reasons - When I stuff up the design, I won't have wasted as high value material I figure the edges are the hardest bit, which I'll need to do either way, and... It would be more satisfying to me to...

MDF or ply for veneered box?

I need to make a large veneered display case "Large" being approx 1mtr wide. The edges will very visible and curved (template routed) which pushes me toward MDF, however ply will have less chance of bending. MDF seems to be easier to purchase in a non-bent state to begin with though! I've...

How flat is a piece of glass?

Float glass is called float as it's floated on top of, iirc, a layer of molten tin. Id suggest that it is adequately flat for your application.

    Hello from North Devon

I am half way between Tiverton and South Molton, so on the edge of North Devon. You could be in the next village along or you could (Devon not being small) be miles and miles away!

replacing an old style 18v parkside (lidl) battery

This is my point of confusion - If you connected one of my M18 packs to a filament light bulb (or somthing with no intelligence) the pack would eventually shut down on its own BMS chip. So if I connect it to a tool without a BMS, the same safety mechanism will be in place. BUT If I connect...

    Mortgage rates / interest etc

Watch out, as it's also possible to just tell everyone else that someone has said somthing or other, and a lot will not bother to go back and actually check. I wonder if that's a common trend.

replacing an old style 18v parkside (lidl) battery

Surely it does not matter if BOTH the tool and the battery pack have the management stuff in them? What I mean is if the tool shuts off on low voltage and the battery shuts off on low voltage, one of them will shut off on low voltage. What you don't want is neither of them shutting off... I...

    Freestanding bath tap connector.

Right, so the other end of the tail to what we can see in the photo is physically attached to the tap, in a non removable way? Can't be unscrewed at the tap end? (Some rails have threads on both ends, some have threads on one end and compression or push fit on the other - so I'm just checking...

    Freestanding bath tap connector.

Ive not seen the ones with the bit of brass before. Im more familiar with these - They dont cost much, so it may be just as easy to get new tails? Be aware that they come with all sorts of different threads on the end, and are often a pain to do up once the tap is in situ.

    Mortgage rates / interest etc

I thought it was all about "hard work"? To put put it bluntly, I reckon you are either fibbing, or, if you really have worked for all those hours, for all those years, and are still not affluent, then i don't think that says much for the system you promote so feverishly.

    Fox Alien 4040XE CNC router

Laser is straight through. Mechanical mill can do profiling but only from above. Don't be sold on the comment that a laser is more accurate. Certainly mechanical cutters ware and hence recalibration is needed, but go on any laser forum and you'll find stacks of people with their lasers going...

    Mortgage rates / interest etc

The chap is speaking from a position of affluence, and calling those who may have needed to spend their stimulation cheques "fools". The comment illustrates how detached he is from a lot of working people. Again, he refers to those who may have had to rely on their grants to survive as...

    Mortgage rates / interest etc

If you are under the impression that, for example, young people cant afford houses because of their frivolous living (I made the comment about avocados and netflix), or that people are fools to have spent their stimulus grants, then the reality in your head is somewhat different to the reality...
