    In my day job i go to companys and repair their very expensive machinery ( > £1,000,000 in many cases) generally get there within a couple of hours.. fix it or at least diagnose and repair later with parts..then invoice them for later payment sometimes 3 months credit all at £40 per hour

    I would use a centre drill designed for metal to spot your holes then go down with a good quality 2mm metal drill running it fast

    I actually cant think of a good way of doing this…cutting a 2mm slot in a 4mm dia doesn’t leave much…1mm thick at the thickest 3mm even worse leaving just 0.5.
