Kitchen base unit - odd size needed

Hi folks, I need a 900mm width kitchen base unit to replace one due to water damage, and that seems to be an odd size... The depth is 570mm, but the slot at the rear is at 500mm. Does anyone know where I might buy one at a reasonable price, or is it going to be easier to get a 1000mm one and...

Source of abrasive wheels for Viceroy Sharpedge?

Some of them have a ‘built in’ dressing tool, so I wouldn’t get too spendy before it arrives.

Withdrawn Extractor for lathe / small planer etc.

Hi, it’s for direct connection to a machine…however, I’ll have to confess I’d forgotten it was listed here and I’ve recently decided to keep hold of so will close the ad. Thanks

    Bosch PBD40 Pillar Drill

I looked at these as I don’t use my big pillar drill much, almost went for it but eventually decided that when I do need a pillar drill I usually need a bit of grunt for larger holes. There are a few clones about but look out for the quality, particularly the chuck / spindle. The Bosch seems good.

Withdrawn Extractor for lathe / small planer etc.

Nifty little setup, hang it on the wall outside and duct in through the wall (100mm). Needs a fabric collection bag. 13A plug or connect to fused spur, and away you go. £75 collected?

    Glue block

Jam chuck for me, wouldn’t ever consider a glue gun but I’m the worst turner ever and would tear it off in no time.

    Lets talk hedge trimmers.

On the Stihl models, there are different blades, ie., rough and fine cut. I have the rough one which is great for hornbeam / leylandii etc., but not as good for privet unless you really want to hack it back.

Floating shelf spanning perimeter of room.

Not the best picture but I did a long floating shelf using those very brackets not long ago I used an offcut of solid timber worktop, 30mm thick (are 38 or 40mm the other standard worktop thicknesses?). If you could get your hands on a few offcuts of this stuff from a kitchen fitters skip...

    How old is this roof?

Many (good) roofers offer warranties 20yr on their work, shame it wasn’t sorted by the previous owner.

    SCCM - Makita LS1019 or Bosch GCM350-254

Accuracy is pretty good out of the box but I might have been lucky. Good enough that I haven’t get got round to making it perfect. Dust collection is OK using my old Nilfisk with a 50mm hose, I can’t compare this to other machines as I’ve only used industrial setups with an enormous hood...
