    For power tools, PowerPoint northern are good at Thirsk. They are dealers for makita, dewalt and festool. They carry hand tools as well, but not a great deal.

    I’ve got one. It’s very basic but it’s level and square. The mitre gauge is useless but the fence is surprisingly sturdy. For the price you can’t go wrong.

    I’ve got up to £100, what would you recommend? Not for industrial use, just hobby work but would like it to last a few years. Also, this has probably been asked before but I can’t find a search function for the forum, is there one?

    First impressions are it looks well made, but wasn’t cutting square out of the box and setting up the fence was a pain in the arse to say the least! Now need to check the compound is accurate but thatcan wait until tomorrow.
