Passing Cyclists in UK with a car Genuine help question

No, he would be just fine. The first mile is suburban road, the next is 40mph 3 lane dual carriageway then the A3, 3 lanes at 50mph then the last 13 miles are 3 lanes at 70mph. So plenty of room to allow 1.5 metres when passing. He would be just fine. (y) :giggle:

Passing Cyclists in UK with a car Genuine help question

I always check a new journey in terms of car vs public transport and have never found a trip that's more cost effective or convenient by public transport, unless I'm travelling from the suburbs into central London, then public transport wins hands down. By coincidence I have been emailed today...

OK...so where is the scam ?

I’ve had this occasionally over the years. I take the view that if it’s genuinely worth what is being offered, I politely turn the initial offer down and explain that it needs to go through the bidding process on the basis that it would reach that price. I understand that it is a gamble but I...

    Grass

Well it’s not harmless on a hand made clay tile roof. It will start to fracture the tiles if left. Why? I don’t know, but it does.

Radiator TRVs. Does anyone want to talk me out of removing them?

How well do the TRVs with a remote thermostat work, if anyone has experience of them. I ask because a few of my radiators are inside cabinets. Ta (y)

New Workshop - Down Lighters or Light Fittings

Yes, it was those. Thanks for the output information. I’m not sure what mine were but I only had two, thinking that would be enough. Does the type of light make much difference? Soft white, warm white, daylight etc.

New Workshop - Down Lighters or Light Fittings

I’ve demolished my old workshop and I am building a new one in it’s place the same size of 6.5 x 5.0m x 2.4m. Now, I was never very happy with the quality of lighting in my old workshop. I started off with multiple spot lights, it seemed a good idea at the time. It wasn’t. I replaced these...

    Underfloor heating over existing floor

How big is the floor area being covered ? How many doors are going to need trimming? Is there a loo that’s going to need heating? Same question on bathroom. Is there enough floor area in these rooms? Where’s the manifold going to go?

    Underfloor heating over existing floor

We put a wet system into our kitchen (rip out & rebuild) with a new joisted floor. Insulated blocks were set between the joists in which the pipes were laid. Chipboard T&G flooring was laid over this, followed by ply, then levelling compound then Karndean flooring. So, exactly what you plan not...

    Cooker hood poser...

It certainly sounds like it, otherwise where would the extracted air go?

    Cooker hood poser...

Why would it need something on the top? Doesn’t the air flow need an exit or am I misunderstanding your question?
