Scroll through this post and you will see how I did the extraction on my machine.

Ill see what is in my B2 manual, if I remember rightly it had other machines than mine.
Picked up the Morticer today. Very happy with it. Came with a few extras I had not noticed on the listing. Got it for £175 + fuel and lunch out on top of that. More on lunch later...
These were a nice surprise. Original Multico unused/barely used sharpening set in boxes. Got three sized...
Thanks everyone. exactly what I wanted to hear. Thanks for the tips. I shall employ them!
Accessories wise I'm not to sure yet. Listing stated extra chisels and sharpeners so hopefully there will be some collets. If not I will use my works lathe to make some if they are not too complicated...
(Details on the morticer I picked up in later posts with photos!)
Hi,
Wondering if anyone would be able to answer my questing.
I have just brought a floorstanding Multico morticer.
What are the chances of getting it into a boot of a fairly large car with 3 people. Split the morticer into 2...
I use an handheld metal detector. Similar to those used at some airports. Amazon if I remember correctly.
Hand Held Metal Detector Wand Security Scanner UD001. Thats the one I have.
Id start by looking at the guidelines on the tins. Generally the stains I use say one coat only. Solvent based
I applied some poly varnish at 4 degrees. After 2 days was not dry in my workshop (unheated). Brought inside the house after I had wiped down with white spirit. Applied another coat...
Typing in SIP 01344 knives into google gives results on spare blades.
Not sure there are really any more consumables than that.
I think some people place 2 pieces of 2x4 under the machine/in the thicknesser part. Then a person either side and lift into position. Like how a stretcher works.
Or...
The vacuum attached to the sander does a very good job at getting most of the dust. It’s when I’m perhaps doing the edges where the sanding pad is exposed slightly. Also when handsanding it pulls in the airborne dust.
Thanks for the comments.
As Taskey mentions bigger fans pull greater amounts of air in. From a smoke test I can get about 800mm away which I am happy with.
I usually always have my ear defenders on so noise isn't an issue. Id say I wouldn't run this all the time I was in the shop. Maybe the...
Would these be any interest to you?
I made one for the TH1 I have in my home shop to replace a regular rule.
Left one is vinyl attached to aluminium strip then laser cut. Black one is plastic with the engraving filled with white paint.
Holes match the TH3 I have at work. Should be a direct...
Id imagine the cut out is for when you are re-sawing thin strips. The gap means the fence can get nice and close the the blade. Looks as if there is a slight bevel on the cut out so wood doesn't get caught. I like it.
Thanks!
The power supply is off eBay. Type in 12v power supply and lots should come up. Make sure you choose the right wattage.
I used x2 80 watt fans for a total of 160 watts.
Decided on a 200 watt power supply but a higher wattage would have been better. They draw quite a few amp on start up...
Yes it does prevent the table tilting. Think I mentioned it at the bottom of the post. I rarely, if ever use mine tilted so this works for me. I’d rather have the best extraction I can. So this setup really suits me. Takes about 30 seconds to remove if I did want angled cuts.
Perhaps I’ll...
Though id share my recent build of my portable air filter for use in my workshop and in the house when sanding etc.
Made from Mdf, it features two 12" 80 watt car radiator fans (£15 each eBay).
Two fine 300x500 100mm f8 grade fine filters (£10 each at dust spares)
One 200 watt 12v power supply...
