    Santa Pod

Santa Pod is a place I've wanted to go for a long time (About 25 years come to think of it). Unfortunately I can't see me going anytime soon but I will one day. Is that one of the better weekends to go to? Nathan

Anyone fancy shifting 3 1/2 tons of timber for me?

The second part of a sale was on today as some of you may or may not know, I think posts about it have been on and off here. Anyway my painkillers kicked in and I ended up buying about 4.5m3 of various timbers. So if anyone knows of someone or is someone who can shift this for me please let me...

Wadkin table saws buying advice, please help.

I think the square one would be more powerful but I may be wrong. I'd want to know. The round one has a crosscut fence attached perhaps the square one is there somewhere. The square rip fence looks better, you can have upright or flat depending on whether you're cutting solid wood or panels...

    Bobby's new build thread

Hi Bob If you don't have a huge amount of experience in the "game" I'd hand it over. Just do the fun bits and get someone else to do the really stressful stuff. I wish we could but our budget is so small we have no option but for me to bodge it. If you need a kitchen or wardrobes, just give me...

Rotary phase converter for screw compressor. Options?

I bought a big un from these guys http://www.powercapacitors.co.uk/products/transwave-converters/ Give them a call, they'll help you with whatever you need, and won't push a bigger than you need unit on you. If this is your entrance into three phase, you do realise that you will be opening up...

Goodbye Wadkin or the 600kg jigsaw

I offered a free Wadkin saw a while ago on here and there was one interested party. That would be Wallace, best person for the job. I'm never going to do it myself so it's just in the way. Myself and Berncarpenter manhandled the majority of it onto a pallet and bolted it down. If this starts to...

    What biscuits should i buy?

I need to buy some new biscuits for woodworking. What do people recommend? On Axminster are Lamello really 50% better than Leo? Custard Creams, penguins, ginger nuts, etc etc are not acceptable answers. Nathan

    Free Wadkin

Still trying to have a workshop clearout, I need to get rid of a Wadkin CC which should look like this But is midway through a restoration and is in pieces. I'm never going to get around to doing it and I have 3 other RAS anyway. If you fancy having a go at a bit of wadkin restoration...

    DOL (direct online starter switch

I can't advise on the wiring apart from google images for diagrams or youtube videos or the manufacturers website/instructions. I'm having some major wiring issues myself with 3 phase stuff. I find that having a 3 foot long pointy stick for the first turning ons feels a little reassuring. Nathan

    Veneer Plywood

Speak with Lathams. They do Walnut or Oak on ply, BUT it is prelacquered which in my opinion is better for cabinet internals. If you do get it they also do pre-laq pre glued edging. HTH Nathan

    FREE Sedgwick table saw

I need to get this out of my workshop. I had this table saw in amongst a load of other tools when I won an auction of a joinery workshop. Fired it up once, but never needed to use it properly. The previous owner has replaced the motor at some point, but looks like he had help from Mr. Angle...
