Search on the bay "wadkin" and hit sold items. You can normally gauge then. You know you want that bit of wadkin in your life though. Nathan

Starting a Woodwork club - South Wales

If I had the time, i'd be happy to, unfortunately at the moment I can't. (39 week preggers wife, half built house, own business) I shouldn't be trying to organise an open day really, but it pains me sometimes to see the stuff I burn and really want to stop wasting it, but I have to get rid of...

Starting a Woodwork club - South Wales

Hi All, I've been thinking about this thread for a while. I have a large enough workshop for a meeting. I make kitchens and the like for a living, so may be some machines of interest to people. I wasn't thinking about a weekly meeting, more like perhaps once a month. I would like to do...

    ROS

I bought these 18 months ago, prices have changed and the extractor has changed design, but I've been very happy with both. http://www.restexpress.co.uk/acatalog/mirka-ceros-system1-ace-kit-150mm.html with this...

    ROS

Mirka it is then. There are people who do woodworking as a hobby for pennies from car boots, and there are people who spend thousands. If money isn't a problem then i'd def say mirka.

    Not a boring machine!

Beautiful machine, will you be going to the electric free wilderness?

    ROS

Once you've used a mirka then there is nothing else really. If you need to use it all day it's not an issue weight wise, and the dust extraction is awesome. There are some tools that you have in your workshop that you never regret buying and can't imagine being without and this is one of them...

    Metal bar with flat

The bar is 5/8" To the flat is 13.99mm, so I presume it was supposed to be 14mm and I want 300mm length but mixing measurements is always fun.

    table saw top

Liberon lubricating wax. I should have a lubricating schedule but I don't. Every time I use this stuff it makes me think "why didn't I put that on earlier" especially the thicknesser.
