I picked up a Sedgwick with a tersa on. it would probably be easier to get one already fitted. how much is a 12" tersa head?

keep it quiet, they are brilliant. they as bern said are like 3/4 scale wadkins. if you get a planer, try to get one with the sliding carriage for tenoning. for the money they go for on the bay they are amazing. nathan

in wood trades I think the nicer the work the less well paid, (I wait to be corrected) I used to be a shuttering carpenter up to my knees in mud and concrete and at the time money was a lot better than joiners. but they were in nice cosy workshops. unless of course you are the best of the best...

depends on a huge amount of things bob, overheads, machines etc etc I've heard a good wage for a joiner is 30k

still in bits, I want to get some spraying equipment, wasn't sure whether to post on here, as didn't seem a huge amount of interest. also in bits is my pillar drill, my edgebander needs replacing etc etc.

personally I use blum fittings for pretty much everything, there are some more commonly used ones which will probably be cheaper, but they do ones for pretty much every door thickness, cabinet thickness, overhang, opening angle you can think of. have a look on the blum website for detailed info...

In recent years I've only dealt with larger suppliers, lathams etc, who only deal with egger, medite and other quality suppliers. it's been a while since I've been to b&q, but I remember how difficult it seems to get decent materials when you don't feel like you can go to the bigger suppliers...

From what I can gather from your posts, my suggestion would be mfc. because.... price, it's going to be the cheapest way to make your cabinets durability, it will keep better than painted cabinets (personally unless it's a display cabinet I would not want to do a painted cabinet for everyday...
