Any tips for spraying Morrell's pigmented lacquer?

Sorry if I am appearing vacant, but how do I do that or even change that. Is it a case of reducing the temperature in the room or thinning down the product?

Any tips for spraying Morrell's pigmented lacquer?

I have a Fuji 3 stage HVLP sprayer and am currently trying to respray out kitchen doors that were sprayed by a professional 13 years ago. Although the finish looks good it is nowhere as flat as the original spray job. My finish is quite bumpy. I am using the stock needle which according to...

    Twisted 18mm birch ply sheet

Ok. Thanks all. I can't use 25mm as I've made the cabinets based on 18mm ply. I'll speak with the supplier as I have had birch before and was always sure it was flat.

    Twisted 18mm birch ply sheet

If I am correct 18mm birch ply sheet should be completely flat and if it's twisted then it's been stored badly? I took delivery of a sheet and need to make a door 1800mm long but it's twisted. I do need to laminate both sides with Formica and am planning on using epoxy, but am now thinking...

Laminating single side of birch ply with epoxy

I need to laminate some birch ply and was only going to laminate a single side but wanted to ask whether the bend you can get from laminating just one face is down to shrinkage of the adhesive used. As epoxy has zero shrinkage and I am using ABET laminate I assume it will be ok? Just wanted to...

Birch Ply, melamine faced MDF and Formica sheet in Dorset?

Hoping someone in the North Dorset area might be able to help here. I used to buy the above from Timbmet in Bournemouth and whilst I am a DIYer they always used to give me a fair price. Just found out it has closed and now I have no idea where I can source these materials from. Not looking...

Selling a business idea I started

Ok. It isn't quite woodworking but sometime ago I spent a great deal of time and expense in creating a process for making concrete clocks and concrete lamps. But my day job is software programming and I have never been one for sales & marketing so although I can create stuff, getting out and...

    Corian undermount sink question

Ok thanks. And there I was thinking it was a simple case of cut out and router.

    Corian undermount sink question

I have purchased piece of corian off the bay that I intended to use for a bathroom cabinet project with an under mount sink. The problem I see is that that corian is bonded onto a piece of MDF so when I route the top I am going to expose the mdf. I suspect you need solid corian for this, or...

Anyone seen any deals on JET Cyclone Extractor?

I've tried that and aside from Laguna there does seem to be very few offerings.

Anyone seen any deals on JET Cyclone Extractor?

I have been thinking of purchasing a decent cyclone Extractor for sometime and I like the JET ones, but I never see them come up second hand and Axi never seem to run any special deals on them. Anyone know of another manufacturer for cyclone extractors that I might find a deal on?

Something's hiding in the wood pile ...

I'm hoping it's mice as the picture you see was after I'd removed a few logs and they are tightly stacked.
