fabricating a moveable base - need help!

Can't you use 50 x 50 angle iron. Very strong and easy to weld or bolt together. Flat plate across the corners to fit the wheels and support the feet works very well. Bob That's the way I'd do it, too! Also, there's no danger of the machine slipping off the base.

    Update on brushing "Hammerite"

It's an old fennit reamer with attached humgrummit; highly illegal now, and only to be disposed of at M of E licenced sites. As it happens, I own and run the only so licenced site in Europe, so, if you freight it to me, I'll do the necessary at no charge to you as a fellow woodie. HTH!

    Box Gutter.

About 10 years ago, I made a box gutter for a bakery which was under notice from the local environmental office because of the water leaks over the ovens. I made a wooden tray which was about 20 metres long, and bought a "Plygene" liner for it. It was the easiest and best possible solution, and...

Is this sad, or what? (or fun with block planes)

I think it's a Stanley 220; at least it's identical to my 220A except that it has a brass knob where mine has a plastic knob.
