    That's a good point and I think when you look at it that way you're absolutely right. But ! you do have to account for efficiency aswell. It could be the case that you lose more heat into the atmosphere when you've got a bigger flame going ?? So a smaller flame will take longer but could waste...

    Maybe you're looking at this the wrong way mate. Instead of trying to remove the stain why not paint the rest of the drive with oil so it all matches ? Think outside the box
