Stopping epoxy leaks with glazing putty?

I have used Blue-Tack for damming resin on irregular surfaces sometimes backed up with any adhesive tape I had at hand at the time. A combination of Blue-Tack and silicone sealant could be a consideration as Alex suggested above. I tend to look at the piece and decide at the moment which to use...

I coated the whole thing with a very thin brush of clear resin first. If there are any leaks it should seal them. Then I brushed on the mica powder keeping to one area and colour at a time then poured in clear resin over the top. Some sections needed this done twice. This gives it a 3D-glazed...

I made this clock a while back. Not totally impressed with it but was a good learning project. I thought with it being art and crafty that a Mackintosh style tile set in a frame on the front would be nice. So, this is my first attempt using the 3d printer and coloured UV resin. Would make...

I asked the lady for two Cod and chips with plenty of salt and vinegar. She said, "This is a library, sir." I apologised and whispered, "Can I have two Cod and chips with plenty of salt and vinegar".

Post a photo of the last thing you made

I don't use cut nails but I thought I might share this with you. The village and area where I live have a history of nail-making that goes back hundreds of years. These nail posts are dotted along the High Street outside the shops and pubs. They're handy for tying your dog, bike, or horse to...

    Coloured epoxy - Small amounts

For shallow dinks and holes you may want to consider UV resin or UV nail varnish. If it's deep the UV light won't penetrate through the colour but you can do it in layers. It's about 90 seconds exposure per layer. I do 180 to be sure which is still faster than regular resin. Treating it with a...

I did have that very experience with the first one I made. I epoxy glued it to the blade originally but the vibration was too much. Luckily it was only the lawn got a coat of yellow. The second one I used two bolts to hold it. It worked great but I broke it in an unvibratory incident. The new...

This is a reprint after breaking my last one. It's a paint shaker for my Createx airbrush paint bottles. It fits an old blade then mounts onto the multi-tool. It vibrates violently and mixes or rejuvenates my paints.

I've just been playing about with it this morning. It works well but just bad timing for me as I've already made wooden spacers in the two drawers I needed them in. The small parts drawers I made to fit the Gridfinity system rather than the other way around. Still, nice to know there's an easy...

I make leather journal covers now and again and turn the occasional fountain pen. I bind the journals too. I thought I would print a jig for piercing the A5 journals to stitch the A6 book. Not necessary but it makes the job slightly easier.
