Find me - A single cordless drill cheap cheap cheap

if she has managed with an unbranded drill for 15 years would she not be happy enough with a parkside or ferrex unit? alternatively something like this? Einhell TE-CD 18/50 Li-i BL 18V 1 x 4.0Ah Li-Ion Power X-Change Brushless Cordless Impact Drill - Screwfix

    Workshop Roof Internal Insulation

maybe look into some 6mm ply to minimise weight, though that might also minimise any ability to attatch anything to the ply

    Computer says no ...

I've always suspected that the purposeful flaw in all bureaucratic systems is that the individual (worker) at any stage has no power to change anything, literally because they have no option to do so, and therefore can take no responsibility, in fact the only thing that an individual can do is...

    Bloody cold shed!

I don't think that anyone is saying that insulation in itself will warm a space, but that given the original idea of heating from a solar power 12v heater, which is obviously only going to give a limited amount of heat, you need a well insulated space to lock that heat in, whatever you do for a...

    Bloody cold shed!

maybe consider running out some armoured cable and investing in some low output heaters, its a cost somewhere, either in insulation and cabling or the cost of replacing tools

    Bloody cold shed!

except it is more of a round the clock, keep the chill off the machinery he's looking for

    Series 3: Britain's Best Woodworker

I think the removal of 'best' in the title is at least somewhat more honest

    Semi-permanent workbench project....

that looks like a good option at a good price, keter stuff is normally pretty well made, would be interested to hear how you get on with that

    Bloody cold shed!

typing '12v heater' into amazon gives you any number of results, some of which have decent star ratings in the hundreds of reviews so i'd start there, I know nothing about the subject, but i'd assume that the draw of a heater from a battery would be fairly substantial, well out of balance with...

    mini pallet truck

as others have said, the lifting in a pallet truck is purely up and down, involve a hill and you've got all that weight but its harder to control because it can runaway on the wheels. you could maybe wheel it to the van then winch it up the incline, but a weight like that would need to be...

    Outdoor plant labels

a test will tell you if I'm right, but I would say applying anything (ie yacht varnish) with a brush would risk blurring the writing in a way that thin layers of spray would not. You are physically pushing a medium across a surface so any loosened pigment will be spread

    Semi-permanent workbench project....

sorry, reading through I see you've ruled out a wall fixed bench

    Semi-permanent workbench project....

I think there is a difference between a temporary dust sheet used when needed and designing a space for regular dust creating use and expecting the soft furnishings not to be penetrated by dust. Also sitting on a sofa that is a bit dusty isn't a big deal, sleeping on a bed that is dusty...

    Semi-permanent workbench project....

i don't think you'll be able to keep the dust out of the soft furnishing, any power tool will atomise the dust and it will get in anywhere it can, it not like keeping rain off a garden bench.

    Upside down doors

shouldn't be the case but I often find that the only meaning of 'professional' is having the nerve to charge money

    Woodworkers' Guild of America

I signed up for some free plans, annoyingly can't remember the site name, plans were ok, but the next day and on and off ever since I've had scam emails, pretty much never had them before. worth googling the site and 'scam' or 'safe' before going ahead with anything

    Circular Saw stopping

I'd say whether or not the battery is a factor (it is), unless the funds just aren't there, you'd still be advised to buy a good quality blade for the job, it can only improve the finish and won't be wasted money unless you'll never use that blade again.

    Circular Saw stopping

from Do Battery Amp Hours Affect Power? | 2.0Ah vs 5.0Ah BATTERY AMP HOURS AFFECT POWER, BUT WHY? It stands to reason that if both battery packs deliver 18 volts, it shouldn’t affect the power, just the runtime. A closer look at the pack design offers some insight. Power is measured in watts...

Getting a Multitool - stick with DeWalt? Or get Milwaukee and a battery adapter?

I had a lidl one a few years ago, didn't clamp the blade properly, useless, went back on the same day. Now have a dewalt one that I'm happy enough with, and was given a cheap corded aldi one, workzone, not ferrex, which is actually pretty good, annoyingly doesn't take the same blades, life too...
