    Homemade spiral routing jig

are you trying to make a spiral on a router, or are you after a jig for using spiral bits? either way more info would possibly get more responces here

    Tool Board

unfortunately that was on an oversized tool box that I made, decided was too oversized and gave away. On reflection, I used OSB for that project because I had some offcuts, if I was starting from scratch ply would be probably a better choice, would paint quicker and flatter

    Christmas gift for beginner

I would buy a really good quality accurate combination square, as that would get used on every project and could literally last a lifetime

    Tool Board

I don't think osb paints that badly, it is very thirsty admittedly, which could be a cost factor, but if you sand down between layers, a bit more than just denibbing, you can get a half decent finish. It still looks like OSB so it will never be a fine finish, more than eneough for a shadow...

    Your most useful clamps

I had a lidl quick clamp, broke within a month under fairly light use, the plastic casing had given way around the pan head screw. No receipt so I fixed it, replaced the screw with an additional washer. Fine for a month, gave way again, I've now removed the screw from the problem spot, drilled...

Stenciling on wood - mistakes were made

are you making something like this? https://www.realrulerco.com/

Stenciling on wood - mistakes were made

functionally that would work, but I assume he is trying to make something that looks like a giant wooden ruler as both decoration and functional measure

Stenciling on wood - mistakes were made

not sure your asking in the best place, I'd search youtube. also i think a sponge dabber would tend to push paint under the stencil, maybe experiment with several light coats of spray paint?

    Aldi Impact Driver

wouldn't be suprised if einhell also made bits for parkside, I know lidl have sold kwb (aka einhell) dowel jigs before now. However I think parkside is owned by lidl and ferrex is owned by aldi, as I'm sure I've heard both brands are in fact made by a range of manufacturers

    Idiot builders

very true, it was more an example of the attitude than the virtues or otherwise of postcrete, I do think bringing the concrete up a touch higher, and smoothing a sloped finish to the concrete so it doesn't sit any wetter than it needs to helps a lot

How do I do this? Help!

I agree with tomGW, the problem spot is (from my understanding) purely the top right tip, so cut a triangle off the top of the door, leaving the front face in tact. I also agree that it is worth a trial run on something sacrificial

    Idiot builders

I watched a youtube video a couple of months ago by 'proper DIY' where he did a real world comparison between mixed concrete and postcrete for erecting fence post. spoiler alert, the concrete was the clear winner, not a real shocker to me, but looking through the comments there was an...

    Aldi Impact Driver

I've not had any ferrex tools but from word of mouth they are pretty reasonable, a touch above parkside (lidl) in quality, I gather a lot is rebadged einhell

Find me - A single cordless drill cheap cheap cheap

that does seem a good price, I often use a 12v makita drill and impact twin set, I do find the drill a bit underpowered compared to a decent 18v drill, but the impact driver is brilliant for driving screws (i'm not driving big lag screws etc) super lighweight and you really notice the difference...
