    Anybody made any clocks?

sorry jimijimi, I should have looked at the picture properly, it looks like those use something akin to a watch, a quick amazon search looked like each manufacturer does it slightly differently, but it is basically just pushed into the hole and held in place with friction...

    Anybody made any clocks?

all very simple, fiddly but simple, you just need to make sure that the mechanism you buy is the right size for the thickness of your face. Basically one hole, the mechanism has a shaft which sticks through to the front, there will be a thread on the shaft, onto which you screw a washer and nut...

Moving 18mm sheets without killing myself

that makes sense, I've seen sheds picked up and moved by maybe 6 people so I had in mind that you were moving it in one piece

Dewalt tstak vs fatmax pro stack comparison?

yeah, it all seems an odd choice, muddying their brand, also came across a fatmax toughsystem (ie dewalt toughsystem) box online somewhere. Personally I just would just want to know that one brand had one system, and everything locked together. a little bit more common sense in the stanley...

Dewalt tstak vs fatmax pro stack comparison?

You have a point, but decent storage always costs money, you could chuck everything in the cheap plastic boxes that you can pick up all over the place for 3 or 4 quid, but they just don't last at all, if you are even slightly rough with them you get a lot of box splinters and no box...

Moving 18mm sheets without killing myself

that is quite a price tag, I thought the dewalt dolly was expensive https://www.amazon.co.uk/DEWALT-DXWT-200-DeWalt-Dolly-Black/dp/B07T1LQTYY/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=dewalt+dolly&qid=1615151943&sr=8-1 in finding that link I also found another trolley by dewalt, the design of which might be...

Dewalt tstak vs fatmax pro stack comparison?

I'd say you'd do better to do a seperate thread in for sale

Dewalt tstak vs fatmax pro stack comparison?

As a consumer, I find all the subtle variations in seemingly identical storage products really iritating, so for instance fatmax do two 'deep pro organiser', one has metal catches and a waterproof seal, the other has identical dimensions but plastic catches, they sell for around the same price...

Dewalt tstak vs fatmax pro stack comparison?

I got an email today from toolstation with an offer on a stanley fatmax tool tote and case bundle Search it looks like pro stack and tstak lock together in combination. i know stanley and dewalt are effectively the same company but I'm wondering why they're bringing out the same products twice...

Moving 18mm sheets without killing myself

also this technique, does make it easier to handle, of course it doesn't make it any lighter, but bearing the weight better is half the battle

Moving 18mm sheets without killing myself

Cam clamps in various forms seem to be a common enough idea, popular on homemade jigs and contraptions, youtube is full of them, and wedge clamps. I don't know why they are not more commonplace on commercially produced products. Maybe not very hardwearing?

Varnished kitchen worktop in lousy condition - which sander please?

plenty of options for the 100 - 150 mark, dewalt, makita, milwaukee all have corded options for random orbit sanders in that price range, arguably you could get away with the erbauer or makita MT (red) one for about 50, but IMO your better off spending a bit more if you want it to last. I...
