Electric heater and a very warm wall…..

After getting the garage insulated and ply lined this summer I have finally found a bit of time to get in and start a couple of projects. On testing the electric wall heater I had put in, I notice the wall (18mm ply) above is getting very hot. The air is about 90c coming out of the top of the...

    Ebay 15% off selected traders

Glad for you mate. I checked out the Festool CSC SYS 50, no such luck. Still cheaper online at other stores. I think the main culprit is FFX who increase their prices to discount them!

    Ebay 15% off selected traders

And if they haven’t put the price up first to make it look like a discount…. Just checked a few items and the 15% brings the price back down to what you can buy it from elsewhere 🙄.

Withdrawn Axminster AW82E Dust Extractor - Used a dozen times

Having downsized to a single garage I just dont have room for this anymore. I thought I could work it in to my design, but not going to happen! As new. Modified power switch to be able to use with an auto start plug like the EON Energy Saver. Works a treat. Can be changed back to standard if...

    New woodworker near Bath

Morning all I have spent the last year converting my garage into being a year round (hopefully) woodworkers workshop. Have bought far too many tools and toys. Some still unused….. I enjoy learning but sometimes it is a drag when it takes 2 days to work out why the table saw isn’t cutting...

    Woodpeckers v benchdogs T-square

Maybe I am making up for my bad workmanship then by wanting the best tools? A biscuit joiner would suffice but I love my Domino;) And don’t even get me started about my Shaper Origin.

    Woodpeckers v benchdogs T-square

Well in my case the 760mm china T square is inaccurate. If I was to build a custom cabinet that is not the correct dimensions, I don’t think the customer would be happy. To some people being a mm or 2 out might not be important, but to me it is everything. A straight line from a track saw is no...

    Woodpeckers v benchdogs T-square

I have a lot of your products from the fence system to the quad hinge and quad dogs. All very high quality. Maybe you can confirm that the T Squares are really sturdy? Being completely honest, in the photos it just doesn't look as sturdy as the Woodpeckers. Would much prefer to support a UK...

    Woodpeckers v benchdogs T-square

Checked with multiple known straight edges. It’s the 760mm red part that is not straight. It is manufactured wrong. thanks

    Woodpeckers v benchdogs T-square

No adjustment on them. There are 4 screws, but always locate back to the same location. In any every, the long red part is actually not straight! Against my benchdogs 1m rule, it tapers away.....

    Woodpeckers v benchdogs T-square

I bought the 300, 400 and 760 T and am now ordering the Woodpeckers 600 (I considered the Benchdogs but just don’t like the look of it compared to the Woodpeckers). The 300 is okay, 400 not 100% accurate, the 760 is off by over a mm by the end of it. If you can’t rely on your measuring tools...

New Record Power Sabre 350, cast iron imperfections

I spoke with the supplier who have suggested some 0000 wire wool or a 1500g mirka pad. I have ordered the wire wool. Will let you know once I get it. Thanks for the input.

New Record Power Sabre 350, cast iron imperfections

Morning all, This is my first brand new cast iron machine, so I am unsure if it is just me..... Unpacked the saw this morning, used WD40 degreaser to get all the gunge off, and there are marks on the iron. Is this normal? I was expecting perfection! The top is smooth, so these don't think...

    Grabbo vacuum lifter.

I had one for a day. Returned due to it not being able to pick up plywood! Was great on laminated worktop but couldn’t achieve the suction on ply. Called support line and they said it is like that on “some plywood”. I wouldn’t say it was the worst ply I have ever seen. I was very disappointed...
