Spray painting woes. Cracking to be precise.

It has got to be a difference in the primer to the top coat. The primer would be a nitrocellulose base and I don't know the Rustoleum paint but would think it is not of the same base. (probably oil based) Cracking and crazing occurs when the substrate is not hard enough which can happen with...

    Hong Kong

The airport is something else. I spent a full evening there when one of my flights was delayed due to a hurricane. Nice replica of Kittyhawk hung in the rafters too. The train from the airport into Kowloon is very nice and fast. Where are you going to in mainland China? Guangzhou by any chance...

    ..........

We did have a mouse infestation a few years ago in our home, I did cure it by using poison in the end as we used the traps and couldn't keep up with them. I baited mine with chocolate spread they seemed to like that. A work mate of mine didn't like to kill them so used to use the humane traps...

    Small chest of drawers

As I say I don't know much about them but know that two of the best seem to be Fuji and Apollo if you try an internet search. Try posting the question on the finishing section about them and I am sure you will get your answers as I know there a few people on here that use them. HTH.

    Small chest of drawers

Yes Giggs those small compressors just aren't man enough to handle a spray gun especially a HVLP one. Have you considered a a turbine one? I have not used one but many of the guys on here have and they rate them well. I delivered the small chest of drawers today and got some pics of the units...

    Driving licence groups

Exactly! My best friend applied to renew his licence and when it returned his motorcycle and HGV entitlement had disappeared! He also had to retake his bike test after riding for over thirty years! he couldn't afford to re take his HGV again so he has lost that one. As for the motorcycle...

    Another gate

No problem Hugh that's what the forum is for and they way we increase our knowledge. Mark is spot on with all he has stated. I do prefer to let in the diagonals for looks and to stop any slippage of the diagonal. The T&G boards are 16mm and I have slotted the rails to allow for any movement...

    Poorly Elu MOF177E

It could be the bushes. I have just replaced mine in my De Walt 177e and it cured the problem. A word of warning though if you buy them from Miles tools and machinery make sure you order a pair as they are sold in singles! and are over £5 each! I made the mistake of thinking they were a pair (As...
